Nursing Student at University of Massachusetts Lowell
Summer break is here! This is the perfect time for us to wind down and take time for ourselves for all the work we put in this past year. Above are just some ideas that can be added to your summer bucket list to do with friends or for yourself! UML services are also available during the summer for mental health and counseling! You can find more information and links to services at https://lnkd.in/gmCP-S5a Have a healthy and fun summer, everyone!
We had a blast working with Sara Marks and the UML Library, along with the Center for Asian American Studies & Center for Women and Work, to raise awareness and share resources about the Asian American community on Wikipedia! Thank you to Ed Brennen for writing this up and we hope to partner again soon :)
Academic librarian for over 20 years focusing on information literacy, communications, and user experience.
While I don't work as much with the students as I used to, once a year I get to collaborate with the faculty to run a Wikipedia edit-a-thon to help students see the skills they learn in the classroom impact the world. This year we had a great time and I appreciate that Ed Brennen came by to chat with everyone before writing this fantastic article about the work we did. Thank you Ed and everyone who helped with the event!

On behalf of the AACEE staff, we want to thank everyone who made this 2024 Spring Semester at UMass Lowell such a memorable one. From special guests such as Drs. Hai and Lan Pho, and Curtis Chin, to our community partners at Cambodian Mutual Assistance Association and Merrimack Repertory Theatre, to our colleagues at UMass Boston's Asian American Resource Office, and of course to our internal partners all across UML; we appreciate all of the collaborations and events that gave the students of AACEE and UML opportunities to enrich their experience at our amazing institution.
Lastly, we want to thank our student staff and general student population. Time and time again, they show us that they are our number one advocates, from attending events, welcoming and introducing the space to newcomers, and always offering a helping hand to whoever may need, be it staff, or their peers.
We have a lot planned for summer, so stay tuned for upcoming and future events!

Thank you to everyone who attended any of these events! We hope you drop by the office during the summer 🎉☀️💼
