From the ASE Parts Specialists Test: A clutch disc has one broken damper spring. Which of these should be the recommended repair? A: Install a coaxial damper disc B: Install a rigid disc C: Decrease pressure plate load D: Increase pressure plate load
While "A" is the best of the crappy answers, it's still not the proper repair. Why does the best of the wrong answers have to be the right answer. Can we not get proper answers that instill the correct repair among the newer generation of technicians? Picking the best wrong answer is still wrong in my humble opinion.
I mean if your taking it out or removing the trans, why not just replace it?
A. But anyway gearbox open . Not big difference from price .Change all clutch ink bearing. And forget totally this problem 🙃
A as others have said is the best of the choices. Yet, the question has more of an upgrade flavor.
The correct answer is installing a coaxial damper disc.
Since the correct proper procedure isn’t listed it has to be A
A - Coaxial Damper Disc. OR - Install a Monster Clutch Twin Disc Kit. That should alleviate any further issues…
"A" is the correct answer.

3wReplace the disc, pressure plate, throw out bearing and check and resurface the flywheel. Would anybody here just replace the disk?
