Last night's Oscars gave us many unforgettable moments, but Ryan Gosling's performance as "I'm Just Ken" truly stood out. It was more than entertainment; it was a reminder of the incredible power of fun and memorability in any performance – be it on the stage or in the boardroom. This philosophy of blending fun with serious business echoed vividly at last week's GLOMO and Rhode Sense Movers Party at Prohibition in New Orleans. The atmosphere was electric, filled with jazz, laughter, and vibrant discussions. It was a clear testament to how bringing joy and memorability into professional settings can significantly amplify engagement and results. In logistics, a field often viewed through a lens of complexity and seriousness, this approach is particularly transformative. Working with experts who not only excel in their field but also know how to add a touch of fun and memorability – like the team at Rhode Sense – changes the game. It turns routine transactions into memorable experiences, fostering stronger relationships and smoother operations. At Rhode Sense, we live by the motto "WHERE THERE'S A ROAD, WE'LL FIND A WAY." But let's not forget: the journey is just as important as the destination. Let's make our business interactions not just successful, but also fun and unforgettable. #BusinessSuccess #FunInBusiness #Logistics #RyanGosling #Oscars #RHODESENSE #Networking

Building and nurturing outstanding Keyrock team | We're hiring Algo Traders, Rust Engineers and more | Talk about: Talent Management, Cryptocurrency, Blockchain, DeFi, Fin-tech
a highlight of the last several months for our People team ✨ Chloe Hudson Rebecca Neal 👏 We create engagement of our globally distributed, remote team by enabling frequent re-connection in our headquarters. Our offices in Brussels are an alive, beating heart of the company. To do that sustainably, over time and at scale, we need cost optimisation - but not at the expense of the comfort of our Rockers. That is how we arrived at the concept of "Keyrock Maison" - a serviced townhouse where everyone has comfortable personal space but where our team members can create connections in thoughtfully designed shared spaces while they visit. At 50% cost compared to hotels or airbnbs 💸 Curious to know what other distributed companies do to keep their teams "together" and aligned 💡
Home is where the heart is. And now, it's in Brussels, too. - We've teamed up with Neybor to provide Keyrockers with a cozy house steps away from our HQ. It's our way of showing that we value our team members' presence, welcoming them in a serene and carefully curated environment when they visit 🏡

Since my early teens, I began my love affair with Land Rovers and dogs and it’s difficult to separate them from my personality … … or me from them. It was the classic movie: 1969’s ‘Italian Job’ where it all began. The Italian Job is a quintessentially English, classic movie. And it features some classic British cars, too. But alongside the Mini, the Land Rover is a central part of the action. The gang’s Series IIA Station Wagon allows them to navigate the backstreets of Turin before making off in Minis with their loot. I own a Land Rover Series III County, along with my two best friends: pooches Basil and Nigel. Many years ago, when I started doing turnarounds of businesses that no one wanted — except the banks who had loaned them money and hired me to protect their investment — it’s when I opened my own turnaround shop that I got my single-best piece of advice … “If you want any friends in this role, get a dog.” — Al Dunlap I got two dogs. And I’ve had two ever since. Moral: In your work, never think about acquiring friends because most likely, they’ll be the ‘fair-weather’ type anyway. It’s the work that matters, always. Repeat: It’s the work that matters. **This is Basil hangin’ out in our Land Rover, sometimes Nigel’s camera shy😉** #MansBestFriend #Dogs #LandRover #Beer #CraftBeer #Breweries #Taprooms #Brewpubs #DataAnalysis #PredictiveAnalytics #BusinessDrivenInsights #ForwardThinkingInsights #ConsumerBehavior #BeerTrends #BeerNews 🍻🍻🍻 Stephen Carter King Chief Beerconomist • Team Leader • CEO Beerconomy & Co. a subsidiary of Kings Crossing [email protected] Beerconomy & Co.: the leading advisor understanding the complexities of consumer beer behavior

Professional Speaker and Advisor | Award-Winning Podcast Host | Hitchhiking Rabbi | Create a culture of ethics that earns trust, sparks initiative, and limits liability
I was excited for the opportunity to fly to San Diego to speak to two groups of CEOs about creating a business culture of loyalty and commitment built on a foundation of ethics. The programs, part of Vistage Worldwide, Inc., were well-received and a pleasure to present. The experience getting there was… less wonderful. I booked my flight through Phoenix. But it was stormy, and the connecting flight was delayed. So I rebooked through Chicago. And that connection was delayed. So I booked a flight for the next morning and the Vistage Chair, Steven Smith, graciously moved my program from morning to afternoon. I would spend the night in Chicago with friends. My flight leaving St. Louis ended up delayed as well. Apparently, another plane was blocking ours, and it took an hour to find someone to tow the other plane out of our way. No storms the next morning. But just as we were about to take off, the flight crew noticed a torn piece of carpet in the aisle. So we waited half an hour for a repair crew to fix it, and another half an hour for them to process the paperwork to clear us for takeoff. I guess they’d never heard of duct tape. And that made me more than twelve hours late to pick up my rental car. Even though I called the day before to tell them my flight was delayed—and I had paid in advance—the rental car company still refused to honor my reservation and tried to charge me double for an upgrade. I’ll tell you more about that in the video, as well as the insanity I dealt with booking and rebooking my flight. Here’s the bottom line: 🥷There’s usually a reason why the cheapest vendors are the cheapest. 🥷Don’t risk nightmare incompetence to save a little money. 🥷Remember that you can’t be competent if you aren’t ethical, and vice versa. And, finally, remember that the formular for humor is pain plus time. Enjoy the story. And join me in being glad that we can laugh about it together in a world where so many can’t find cause for laughter at all. #ethics #accountability #culture #leadership #customerservice

Charity Consultant. Helping you unlock your charity's superpowers through practical support, learning, strategy, and transformational change.
Ever been warned not to rodeo ride lions bareback in the street? Context is everything. I saw this sign recently and had to take a photo. As with much in life, if you don’t already know what it’s telling you (don’t climb on the bronze lions in Trafalgar Square, London), the sign would not help you. When I look at this, I get a vision of a rodeo trick rider cantering down the road atop a giant beast… This got me thinking about how we give direction at work (this is how my brain works - I’m lateral!). I’ve worked with lots of leaders, through my career and as a consultant, who’ve given a team member what they feel is clear, supportive guidance about a task or issue. But the team member isnt ‘getting’ it. It’s a major source of frustration that I’m often asked to suggest solutions for. The team member is doing their best, but they don’t understand the basis of the instruction - so they’re focusing on the wrong thing. Looking out for live lions so they can avoid unintentional rodeo riding, instead of keeping off the bronzes en route to the National Gallery. I get that we are short of time, and every detail isn’t needed for every task to get done. But next time your people ‘just aren’t getting it (big eyeroll)’ - maybe try offering a bit of context?
