Let's have a candid chat about the wild world of job postings on LinkedIn. You see, there's an interesting mix of opportunities out there, but not all of them shine with the same authenticity. First and foremost, beware of the dark side – the scammers. They're like the digital pickpockets asking for your sensitive information, such as your bank account details and Social Security number. You don't want to waltz into that trap, trust me. It's vital to keep your guard up and share your personal data only with verified and trustworthy employers. My friend Slava Chernoy recommended a useful website to check for potential scammers: Whois.com. Now, let's talk about those persistent job listings that just won't quit. You've likely come across them, the ones that resurface like clockwork every week or even more frequently. These aren't genuine job offers but rather sly marketing tactics or a free billboard for some companies. In some cases, they're like that friend who just won't admit they've found someone but still keeps flirting. It's not cool. Amidst all this digital noise, the real job postings sometimes feel like hidden treasures. You've got to be a bit of a detective to spot them. So, be savvy, be cautious, and keep your eyes peeled for those gems in the LinkedIn jungle. #LinkedIn #JobSearch #JobPostings #ScamAlert

This is not an inclusive practice at all, LinkedIn. Consider those who are not able to change their name legally to the name that resonates for them or the name they are known for. This limits expression of the human experience at the deepest levels. Please consider your practice, LinkedIn. #inclusivedesign

PSA if you're curious about verifying your profile here. Don't bother if you go by a nickname and/or include your maiden name. The name on your ID must match the name on your LinkedIn profile. Apart from my massive medical team, no one knows me by my formal name. Also, I had a different identity for the first 3/4 quarters of my life, so I include my maiden name here so people from my past can find me. I temporarily changed my name to match my ID as an attempted loophole to get verified, but when I changed it back to the name I go by, I lost the verification. I am certain I am not the only one this will impact so hopefully LinkedIn will take it into consideration as they work to improve the feature! #LinkedInVerification #VerifiedOnLinkedIn #LinkedInAccountVerification #LinkedInVerificationProcess

Hello connections, ‼️‼️ Recently, my LinkedIn profile was hacked by an unauthorised third party. It all happened when I started receiving connection requests and messages from unknown people with Asian names which were not in English language. 🌏 Initially I didn't bother although after a while they started piling up in my notifications panel. 📢 I thought of having a look and when I accessed my account, the whole scenario was different. All the information including my name, education, location, my personal messages were different. I was stunned that although every information has been changed, my DMs and connections remain the same. I immediately emailed the LinkedIn customer support team and they replied with a solution within 2 days after verifying my identity. 💯 If this happens to you, all you can do is change the password, put on 2 Factor Authentication and change all the incorrect information manually. 🤷🏻♂️ All of my profile summary, my skills set, my certifications have been eradicated. All I can do is add everything manually. If any of you have received any inappropriate messages, please be aware it wasn't from my side.
