🏹 Does Your Good Work Go Unrecognized? ☎ On August 26, 2014, I received an early morning call from my mother. I was anticipating it was my wedding wish, but I was instead informed that my father had been admitted to Apollo Hospital due to poor health. At the time, I was engaged in the Kuwait KOC, BS171 project. 🛫 Without hesitation, I travelled to India to be by my father's side. One particularly challenging day, nurses at Apollo Hospital struggled for nearly forty minutes to find a vein for my father's IV injection. Their efforts were in vain. However, after a few minutes, another nurse stepped in, and she efficiently completed the task within seconds, appearing to me as an angel in that moment of despair. 🏥 On January 8, 2024, when my uncle was admitted to Madras Medical Mission in Chennai. It took me ten years to recognize that same 'angel' nurse at this different institution. Although she had no recollection of our prior encounter, I recalled her from Apollo Hospital. When I asked for her name, she introduced herself as Ms. Catherine Bobby. She was genuinely touched that I remembered her after all those years. I expressed my heartfelt gratitude for her exceptional skill and dedication. 🌈 My Reflection: When we demonstrate commitment and proficiency in our roles, we leave an indelible impression on those we serve and work alongside. Despite Ms. Bobby's transition to a new organization, her dedication and expertise did not go unnoticed. While organizational changes or career advancements may alter our paths, it's essential to remember that our exemplary efforts resonate and leave lasting impacts. 🎷 Let's remain steadfast and motivated, knowing that our dedication will be acknowledged, valued, and rewarded.
