What a firecracker of a bottle! We were delighted to welcome Michael Alter, John Pashia and Maureen McAlister of Fitz's to our production facility in Pevely, Missouri recently to show them where Fitz’s Root Beer bottles are made and what the fascinating glass production process looks like up close. Afterward, Michael told us how impressed he was with the support Fitz’s had received from our team around collaboration, customer service and overall company engagement. Among the speakers is Joris Goossens, who manages new melting technology projects at Ardagh. One of the many benefits of our Ardagh for Education partnership with Wissensfabrik - Unternehmen für Deutschland e.V. is the opportunity for our colleagues to engage in worthwhile - and fun - projects in the partner schools local to our offices and production facilities. Wissensfabrik's KiTec construction kits are ideal for children who are fascinated by technical contexts. Boxes of age-appropriate tools and materials enable children to earn their 'tool driver's license' by learning to handle tools safely. In a recent project, colleagues from our Hermsdorf production facility visited a nursery school to help a group of 3-5 year-olds use their KiTec kits to make insect hotels - combining practical skills with lessons about the natural world. #ArdaghforEducation #STEM #STEMeducation #Wissensfabrik
