What a firecracker of a bottle! We were delighted to welcome Michael Alter, John Pashia and Maureen McAlister of Fitz's to our production facility in Pevely, Missouri recently to show them where Fitz’s Root Beer bottles are made and what the fascinating glass production process looks like up close. Afterward, Michael told us how impressed he was with the support Fitz’s had received from our team around collaboration, customer service and overall company engagement. A big thank-you to Fitz’s for surprising us with an amazing gift – a very special bottle of delicious craft root beer for each member of the Pevely team – just in time for the big holiday! #ArdaghGlassPackaging #AGPNorthAmerica #MadeinUSA

One of the many benefits of our Ardagh for Education partnership with Wissensfabrik - Unternehmen für Deutschland e.V. is the opportunity for our colleagues to engage in worthwhile - and fun - projects in the partner schools local to our offices and production facilities. Wissensfabrik's KiTec construction kits are ideal for children who are fascinated by technical contexts. Boxes of age-appropriate tools and materials enable children to earn their 'tool driver's license' by learning to handle tools safely. In a recent project, colleagues from our Hermsdorf production facility visited a nursery school to help a group of 3-5 year-olds use their KiTec kits to make insect hotels - combining practical skills with lessons about the natural world. #ArdaghforEducation #STEM #STEMeducation #Wissensfabrik
Colleagues from our Hermsdorf production facility in Germany recently organised a wonderful handicraft event in partnership with a local kindergarten. The project involved the construction of insect 'hotels' alongside twelve enthusiastic children aged 3-5 years. The experience was an enjoyable one for all the participants - and it presented a wonderful opportunity to speak to the children about the importance of caring for the environment and respecting and protecting nature. #EnvironmentalEducation #InsectHotels #ProtectNature #Hermsdorf

Thanks to Joris Goossens and Robert-Jan ter Morsche for representing Ardagh at #NMWEPrague2024 this week. As a global supplier of sustainable, infinitely recyclable, metal and glass packaging, we are always delighted to have the opportunity to discuss ways to reduce our environmental footprint and make our packaging even more sustainable. #ArdaghMetalPackaging #ArdaghGlassPackaging #sustainablepackaging
Opening the second part of our ‘Greening the Value Chain’ workshop, Joris Goossens detailed Ardagh Group’s work in operating NextGen Furnace, which uses groundbreaking new technology to produce low carbon glass bottles. Jan Daňsa of ALPLA Group described the recycler’s efforts in reducing scope 2 and 3 emissions, as well as circular economy initiatives aimed at reducing material consumption. Best practices in eco-friendly packaging design were also shared with attendees. Finally, Ermis Panagiotopoulos highlighted Indorama Ventures PCL's new initiatives in expanding PET recycling globally, including forging close partnerships with brands and world leaders in sustainability. Robert-Jan ter Morsche of Ardagh Group then joined the speakers and representatives of our sector for the panel discussion, which explored in detail the challenges in lowering the environmental footprint of the value chain. Keep an eye on our social feeds for highlights from the discussions in due course. Thank you to all of our speakers and attendees for generating such productive discussion so far! 🌍💚🔗 #NMWEPrague2024
