Qatar, a country with fewer residents than Mississippi, is set to produce an amount of LNG equivalent to about 7.25 million barrels of oil per day. Most of this will be exported, putting them on par with Saudi Arabia in oil shipments. By the end of the decade, Qatar is expected to control around 25% of the global liquefied natural gas market. This production boost could increase their annual revenue by approximately $31 billion. Qatar plans to invest this money, via its sovereign wealth fund, in diverse global industries like healthcare or technology. Qatar is playing the long game!

🇶🇦 🇬🇧 UK’s Giant New LNG Tank Clears Way for More Qatari Supply A project that will expand UK gas storage next year has been touted as a boon for Europe’s energy security. It’s also a substantial win for the small Gulf nation of Qatar. Some 37 miles east of London on the Isle of Grain, a giant cylinder is being constructed at Europe’s largest liquefied natural gas terminal and will be ready to handle imports starting mid-2025. Excess capacity of oil production is projected to expand to record levels in the next few years as production capacity accelerates. As you see here, gas field such as ZOHR (OGIP = 30 TCF) based on Arab Gulf plan, it must put on gas plateau rate 3.0 BSCFD to be sustained 17 years. In Egypt, within 3 years only, the field gas rate declined 1.0 BSCFD, which caused serious problems for Egypt (stop gas exporting, no covering for the consumption and cut the electricity, entering Israel gas into the market to cover the consumption instead of exporting).

#Saudi Arabia's oil production isn't solely reliant on #crude. The kingdom has already established 3 mmb/d of gas liquids production facilities, a capacity set to increase to 4.4 mmb/d by the early 2030s. This growth is being driven by a range of #upstream and #downstream gas projects, with the majority focused on #nonassociated gas sources. Notably, only 27% of the 1.4 mmb/d addition will be contingent on crude production, reducing the impact of #OPEC/#OPEC decisions on the Kingdom non-crude liquid (#NGLs #condensate) production. In the past two decades, #SaudiArabia's gas sector has undergone remarkable growth, and this upward trend is expected to continue in the coming years. Over the next decade, the kingdom is on track to experience a substantial increase in gas processing capacity, with a projected addition of more than 7.5 bscf/d. This expansion is primarily propelled by the construction of new gas plants, including #Hawiyah, #Khursaniyah, #Tanajib, and #Jafurah. These developments strongly support a significant boost in Saudi oil exports in the years ahead as: - The increased gas processing capacity will yield a significant rise in the production of gas liquids (NGLs and condensates), as byproducts, to the tune of some 1 mmb/d, and - Transitioning to gas-based energy sources will enable Saudi Arabia to release a substantial volume of liquids into the domestic market, specifically the #power sector.
