𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐆𝐁𝐓𝐐 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲? 🏳️🌈 The LGBTQ community are still facing bias and assumptions in the workspace. 28% of Gen Z adults identify themselves in the community and are increasingly selective in their choice of workplace, favoring inclusive companies that clearly stand up for their rights. 🗣️ Nearly 1/3 of queer workers have turned down a job application because they felt the company was not supportive of LGBTQ workers. And at the same time companies struggle with finding overarching Diversity, Equity and Inclusion actions that are authentic and inclusive of the entire organization. 💡 And this is where voluteering LGBTQ Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) can provide a safe space for community awareness and solidarity and have a huge impact in advocating for inclusive policies and drive positive change within the organizations.
