Separating the 'what's fun' from the 'what matters'... The odds of EVER seeing me at a local #UFO #festival or UFO #convention like the Roswell Fest are rather slim. I could really care less. No 'alien' costumes for me. My priorities at CTP Energy are most exclusively on #space #spacetech #newscience #innovation #propulsion and getting this work and research done. STARMUS VII... soon! Very excited to being part of STARMUS VII next week. The blend of science, music and art, unique to the festival, creates a level of inspiration that is truly breathtaking. Having attended the festival since its second version, it is great to see that this is the 2nd consecutive year that Starmus dedicates a session to Space Debris. I was hooked by Space Debris when I studied, and wrote my dissertation on it. It is fantastic to see efforts to communicate this topic to the general public. The benefits from space are many, yet only a few know or imagine the intricacies and level of complexity to solve challenges such as this man-made hazard! The health and evolution of the space environment, particularly key regimes such as LEO, where much of the innovation is happening, including for instance, the rapidly evolving IOSM market, pretty much will depend on the current development of cutting-edge SSA technology and services, for example Satellite Laser Raining (e.g. what Lumi Space is working on). Also, concepts such as circular space economy will need to become a second nature for space businesses, if we want to continue to rely on Space today, and for generations to come. We can restore the health in Space & Earth environments, so we must. Very much looking forward to it all, in particular to the Space Debris session, by Col. Chris Hadfield. The opportunity to listen for an entire week to amazing Scientists such as Dr. Jane Goodall, including 8 Nobel Prize winners, as well as fantastic musicians, is unprecedented. Every time, Starmus manages to conquer the hearts and minds of both, speakers and participants alike, and next week in Bratislava, it is expected to be a blast! 💥 🚀 ⭐ 🎸 https://lnkd.in/gjVbh4qi

Curiosity drives innovation, and being misunderstood is often a step towards groundbreaking discoveries. Jules Verne, with his visionary narrative "From the Earth to the Moon," published in 1865, not only foreshadowed the wonders of space exploration but also inspired the iconic 1902 film "Le Voyage dans la Lune," showcasing the art of turning the inconceivable into a visual spectacle. His ability to simplify and innovate complex ideas made the concept of lunar travel accessible and ignited the imagination of the masses despite the skepticism of his era. Verne's legacy is a testament to the power of curiosity and continuous improvement. Despite being misunderstood, his relentless pursuit of the unknown laid the groundwork for today's technological marvels. Through embracing Verne's spirit, we can view challenges as opportunities to learn and innovate and recognize that simplifying the complex can open new horizons. Today's ideas can be tomorrow's realities. Continuous improvement isn't just about achieving goals but evolving our thinking along the way and creating a culture that embraces curiosity. #Continuous improvement #curiosity #invent #simplify https://lnkd.in/gYynhppC

The only prompt from the client was "NO AI, everybody is doing AI this year, LET'S NOT DO AI". Music to my ears :) Copernicus Festival is our long time client, so we have a pretty detailed knowledge base about who their target audience is (nerds), their value proposition (hard science), and how they like their videos (art!). I've launched my 32 year old language model PawełGPT, fed it the prompts and went on with my day. This model is great as it can keep prompting and correcting itself until it delivers something I'm actually happy with, without the need to type or say anything. It is the future. Soon its built-in thought-to-video model started generating an interesting audiovisual sequence that made me stop the simulation and examine it closer. The sounds were weird and it was flashing pretty heavily at the beginning from a fast paced editing tempo. "I usually don't like it so flashy Paweł, but let's try it this time" - I thought. The "AI" became the seed of the concept: An impression about an AI, a robot, or cyborg, learning the word "Machine". Portraits of all main guests of the Festival on a black background, stuttering single syllables, learning to say the word "Maszyna" (which means "Machine" in Polish). Heavily edited with documentary found footage, giving it a wider philosophical meaning. Thanks PawełGPT, let's get to work :) This is my favourite one out of six short invites we produced for the Festival, filmed remotely from Mexico with great Lars Chittka. And yes, we used AI - for cleaning up the remotely recorded audio. Enjoy :)
We love a good challenge. How to organize an overseas shoot on an NGO budget? In our latest campaign for the Copernicus Festival, we played on this year's theme of 'Machine / Maszyna' and invited all the festival's star guests to participate. But not all scientists were available for on-site recordings in Europe. In the video below, you'll see the fantastic bee expert, Professor Lars Chittka. This recording was done entirely remotely while Lars was in Mexico. Would you have guessed? Sound on, please! #CinematicStorytelling #RemoteFilmProduction #CopernicusFestival

I love how this works. Simple yet extremely effective interactive
I found this awesome rear projection technology at the Earth Frequency Festival! I love how stretchy the projected fabric is to really allow people to interact with the art. credit - @tricktronix_ (Instagram) #InteractiveTech #ProjectionMapping #FestivalTech #VisualArt #TechInnovation #ImmersiveExperiences #EventTech #DigitalArt #TechCreativity #EarthFrequencyFestival

🎤 In case you missed it: If you haven't seen or read about THIS. . . >> There are many musicians, more of the older groups that are retired or do not plan on performing in the near future, that are making or planning hologram concert performances. In a nutshell, #Abba is one of the first to use this format. From what I read, they're actually singing their music in a studio (pre-recorded) so you're not listening to their 70's version -- but you'll be watching their concert as holograms on stage. #KISS is also another band looking to do this soon. At first, I was talking with a good friend, and I was a bit turned off by this idea, but he changed my mind. He said, "Our children or future generations will be able to experience an in-concert experience from the artists we grew up with". I have heard that the Abba Experience Hologram concert has improved even more since this 2022 YouTube video below. I can only imagine that AI and tech have grown by leaps and bounds since then so it's only going to get better. But, when does it end? At what point? Does this mean actors/actresses will be going away? 🧠 Share your thoughts below! 🤨 https://lnkd.in/e2jdTpAz #ABBA #AI #hologram #holograms #KISS #Concerts #innovation #artificialintelligence #ai #generativeai
