"I know nothing about music." - Rick Rubin Why did Johnny Cash, Run-DMC, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers turn to Rick Rubin to create some of the greatest albums ever? It wasn't because he could write a song or play an instrument. It was because of his influence and ability to bring out the best in them as artists. š¤ Check out my latest newsletter (https://lnkd.in/ejxcSim3) where I compare the influence that Rick Rubin has in the studio with the influence that advisors have in bringing out the best in their clients. I write about how Rubin can teach us about: - Measuring success - Having an abundant mindset - Self Awareness Producers and advisors are both in the business of bringing out the best in others, whether in financial planning or the recording studio. #financialplanningĀ #rockandrollĀ #financialadvisor

IMPACT & INCOME COACH | I empower corporate professionals to create purpose-driven empires with personalized business strategy & mindset coaching so you can stop building someone else's dream & start building yours!
In a defining moment at the Super Bowl, BeyoncĆ© unveiled her new country-themed album 'Renaissance: Act II' during a Verizon commercial. An icon transcending genres and breaking molds, she continues to underscore the importance of evolution in an artist's journey. This unexpected revelation is not just about music ā it's a powerful statement about breaking down societal norms. For years, societal constructs have dictated what we should do, who we should be, and even what music we should create. But BeyoncĆ©ās bold move into country music reminds us that we are not bound by these expectations. Her audacious shift emphasizes the importance of personal growth, self-discovery, and the courage to step outside comfort zones. It's a testament to the fact that we can redefine our paths, regardless of what society dictates. As professionals, we can draw inspiration from this. We can choose to evolve, to explore new territories, and to break free from the constraints of societal norms. We shouldnāt limit ourselves to a traditional path if our passion and purpose lie elsewhere. So, let's ask ourselves: Are we truly honouring our authentic self or are we simply adhering to societal norms? Are we brave enough to chart our own course and redefine our narrative regardless of what people think or say? Remember, evolution is the essence of growth. Let's embrace change, shatter stereotypes, and strive to be the best version of ourselves. #embracechange #breakbarriers #defynorms #leadyourfuture

I watched this Apple music half-time show advert announcing that Usher will be headlining the half-time show during the Superbowl 2024, and it triggered an emotional reflection. What will your future self be telling you right now if he/she could call from the future or what will you tell your younger self, if you could call back into the past...? Headlining the half-time show at the Superbowl is a big deal for American artistes. It is somewhat of a crowning effort to how far your music and brand has impacted the world around you. Rihanna headlined the show this year, 2023, and it was a stunning performance and tops the list of most viewed superbowl half-time shows. Usher has been a big name in the RnB and pop scene way back since the 90s. I fed on his music while growing up. I also saved my allowances to buy his CD albums back then...š To see him getting the recognition he deserves and still making himself relevant in 2023 is a big lesson for every professional. In this video, 2023 Usher is calling 2004 Usher about the half-time show he would be headlining in 2024 and sort of confirming that they made it... Years of hardwork, perfecting their skills, relearning, upgrading and all.... In 2004, Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake, P. Diddy, Nelly, kidd Rock and Jessica Simpson performed the half-time show. DO YOU KNOW YOUR WHY? WHAT WILL YOUR FUTURE SELF BE TELLING YOUR OLD SELF IF THAT CALL IS MADE? š„ courtesy of Usher Raymond IV (@usher on Instagram) #future #reflection #halftimeshow #usher #rnb #professionaldevelopment #growth #stayrelevant #doingwhatyoulove #nevergiveup #knowyourwhy #lifequotes #saturdaymotivation #steameducator #stemeducation #edtech #musiclover
