Learning by doing :: MPI episode #3 is out! A very exhaustive resource on point to point communication in MPI. I didn't split it into shorter series of videos to preserve the context (p2p communication) in a single package. Moreover, main focus is stressed on principles, rest is just details. It's a very lengthy video but it is worth it! This episode covers syntaxes and semantics of blocking, non-blocking and persistent communications different modes of communications accompanied(standard, buffered, synchronous and ready modes). It basically covers the whole chapter 3 of MPI standard v4.1! Few but very simple C examples are provided to showcase how the syntax is used. A simple application for usage of communication principles is shown in a presentation form. An exhaustive list of all the communication operations / procedures / keywords used in this episode is provided in the description of the video on YT. For brevity of this post I don't put them here. You may watch this episode here : https://lnkd.in/eHGS-EeJ Download the MPI 4.1 standard at : https://lnkd.in/ekxmemyw Download the OpenMPI library at : https://lnkd.in/eQGsNaPh Have fun! P.S.
