We somehow managed to miss World Anteater Day a couple of days back, but regardless, here's the video from our anteater tongue feeder box that was created at Yorkshire Wildlife Park Ltd during one of our recent Team builds.
The group created four of these feeders over the build, but every 40 minutes the groups were completely changed around to really mix things up.
It was interesting to see how with each group change, the dynamics shifted, there was sharing of ideas and skills, and it worked brilliantly.
The box feeder is a simple design that works brilliantly.
The box is big enough to fit in a slow-pet feeder.
But in order the access the food, the anteater has to use its tongue through one of the holes in the lid.
The lid is 40mm deep, with pipes that go through it.
The idea is to really slow the food and encourage the anteater to use the fantastic adaptation that they have with their amazing tongue.
A huge well done to the group, you were fantastic!

As the collegiate football season wraps up, there's much to reflect upon from University of Washington's journey, including the pivotal game against Michigan. This season has been a profound teacher in the art of leadership, resilience, and growth.
◼ Embracing Change and Challenges: This season was a vivid reminder that change is constant. UW faced numerous challenges, from roster changes to adapting strategies against formidable opponents like Michigan. Leaders, too, must be ready to embrace change, viewing each new challenge as a chance to innovate and improve.
◼ The Power of Resilience: Throughout the season, UW showed remarkable resilience. Whether it was bouncing back from lackluster individual performances or pushing through tight games, their grit was evident. In leadership, this kind of resilience is vital. It's not about never falling; it's about how you rise each time you do.
◼ Learning from Failure: Each game was a learning opportunity. Even the loss against Michigan, for instance, wasn't just a defeat; it was a lesson in identifying areas for improvement. Great leaders understand that failure is not the opposite of success; it's a part of it.
◼Team Cohesion and Collaborative Success: This season highlighted the importance of teamwork. Success was never about individual players but about how they worked together. In leadership, fostering a collaborative environment where everyone feels valued and heard is crucial for collective success.
◼ Staying Grounded in Values: Through ups and downs, UW remained true to their core values of sportsmanship, integrity, and dedication. Similarly, effective leadership is rooted in unwavering adherence to one's core values, regardless of the circumstances.
As we look back on UW's season, it's clear that the lessons extend far beyond the field. They are about leadership, perseverance, and the continuous journey of learning and growing. These lessons are universal, resonating in boardrooms as much as on football fields.
And, at the end of the day, GO DAWGS!

eVer WoNdeRED? Wolves Mating? You dont have to! SEe 4 YOUself > https://t.co/EYNwrvFqIYhttps://t.co/gzDvYix5Sw
Wolves, majestic icons of the wild, have captivated humans for centuries. But beyond their powerful howls and fierce hunting skills lies a fascinating world of social dynamics, especially when it comes to love and family life. Today, we delve into the secrets of wolf mating, exploring how these incredible creatures find their mates, raise their pups, and build their tight-knit packs.
Courtship Beyond Howls: Forget romantic comedies, because wolf courtship is all about observation and teamwork. The alpha pair, the leaders of the pack, initiate the process with subtle communication. The male serenades the female with gentle whines and howls, while she carefully assesses his strength, hunting skills, and leadership abilities. It's a silent interview where playful wrestling and shared prey reveal his suitability as a future father.
Love Sealed with Noses and Nudges: If the female approves, their love story unfolds through a heartwarming "courtship dance." They nuzzle, share food, and display affection in their own unique way, solidifying their bond and preparing for the next stage.
Pups on the Way: After a two-month pregnancy, the mama wolf finds a hidden den to raise her pups. The devoted alpha male transforms into a protector, bringing food and ensuring her safety while she nourishes their future pack.
A Family Affair: Unlike Hollywood portrayals, wolf love extends far beyond the alpha pair. When the pups arrive, blind and helpless, the entire pack pitches in. Older siblings, aunts, and uncles all play crucial roles in feeding, playing, and teaching the little ones the ways of the wild. It's a true testament to the power of family and cooperation in the animal kingdom.
