Agrain by Circular Food Technology’s mission to upcycle spent grain into food ingredients is one that plays a massive role in looking at how we can sustainably produce food at scale with an ever-growing population 🌱🌍🍲 And it was extremely inspiring to see Aviaja Riemann-Andersen speak about this on BBC News Future of Food segment! 📣🎤📺 Spent grains is one of the biggest side streams in the food industry, with 40 million tons being produced as a byproduct of brewing beer. To Agrain, that’s 40 million tons of potential food! 🌱 Happy International Plant-Based Milk Day! 🥛 Today, while enjoying my coffee at a local cafeteria, I came across a truly inspirational initiative. They've made oat milk the default choice because, well, over 50% of their customers already ask for vegan coffee! 🌍 Not only does this align with customer preferences, but it also significantly lowers the carbon footprint. It got me thinking - shouldn't we consider offering plant-based options as the default choice everywhere? Small changes can have a big impact.
