TurboTax - a perfect example of how NOT to advertise. The FTC is finally bringing down a few judgements and restrictions upon the maker of TurboTax software for their extremely deceptive marketing practices. For years, the #TurboTax software has been advertising itself as a free tax filing service. Only issue is... after users sign up "free" and then go through the extensive tax filing process, they're brought to a few mandatory payment screens at the end, which must be paid for (subscription, state filing, federal filing) in order to complete your filing.
