Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to attend my first #Config2024 in San Francisco with Jenna Yoo. It was a power-packed 2 days full of learning, networking, and enjoying some great music and motion graphics(courtesy Figma)! Here are a few of my favorite sessions: #TheBrowserCompany's session was all about finding uniqueness in people. They explored innovative ways to design products by focusing on people's stories and perspectives, looking beyond technology, and leaving a fingerprint. Jiaona Zhang (JZ)'s session on designing for Gen Z was truly refreshing. She highlighted themes like immediacy, flexibility, and authenticity, along with some excellent examples. #HelenHey's session provided a robust framework for designing and developing digital solutions for enterprises. I loved her opening line: "It's not all about tech but people." She offered practical tips for aligning with stakeholders and creating a feedback loop with users. Beyond the sessions, it was thrilling to network with new people and reconnect with my design school alumni. On top of all this, I also got to experience some cool tech in SF: A robotic arm serving beverages at the airport and a self-driving car that dropped us off at the conference. Both were fantastic examples of how tech and good user experience combined can do wonders!
