I had the privilege of attending and working my very first L'ATTITUDE conference this month. While I was there supporting the communications efforts of my #client, it also offered a profound opportunity for a deeper understanding of the immense power of U.S. Latinos, both in terms of sheer economic contributions as well as pervasive cultural influence. Because I'm not a member of the Latino community myself, it is my goal to be a good ally in life and in my work. For me that always starts with education and understanding. L'ATTITUDE gave me the opportunity to hear and learn from so many companies and sponsors who have embraced the data to authentically engage Latinos in genuine ways that reflect the incredibly diverse community. But, even despite the data, the cultural signals and other undeniable proof points, it is also clear so many companies and brands are getting it wrong and leaving untapped potential on the table either by not recognizing the true power and future of the Latinos in the U.S. or by seeking to reach them in ways that don't resonate. That's why I'm so proud that BODEN Agency had the opportunity to debut the new study, “The State of Latinas in the U.S.: An Essential Study for Brands 2024,” during the conference. Conducted in partnership with C R Research, through in-depth interviews with over 500 Latinas — from athletes and scientists to corporate leaders and entrepreneurs — the research reveals how Latinas navigate identity, challenge stereotypes, and what they expect from brands. Last week, BODEN also unveiled The Latina Accelerator™, which is our new offering that helps brands identify the white space within their industries and provides them with a roadmap to seize their opportunity with the influential Latina cohort. My hope is that through this work and the work of so many others we can continue the work of closing the gap, ensuring Latinas feel seen and understood by the brands that seek to engage them. If you're interested in the study or want to understand how The Latina Accelerator™ can help your brand break through with the Latina cohort, visit https://lnkd.in/eY37zw56. #WeAreBODEN #Hispanic #MinorityOwned #LatinaOwned #LatinaAccelerator #LATTITUDE2024

What does #HispanicHeritageMonth mean to you? This month we’re amplifying Hispanic voices in our industry. In our September Member Spotlight, Arturo Elizondo, CEO of The EVERY Company, shares: “National Hispanic Heritage Month is about celebrating our community’s achievements, increasing visibility and ensuring everyone feels they belong. This month serves as a critical reminder for all life science companies to build pathways for diverse talent.” “I never planned to work in biotech or start a company in Silicon Valley—I became a founder by accident, driven by the desire to solve a problem. I didn’t initially see these paths as options because I didn’t know anyone in these spaces who looked like me. Silicon Valley felt distant, almost like something from a TV show.” “I want everyone to understand that you don’t have to look a certain way to succeed—especially in biotechnology, where we have the power to change the world. Everyone should feel welcome to be a part of that change. That’s why honoring #HispanicHeritageMonth is so important.” Read more here: https://bit.ly/4e9ZKIC

𝗜𝗧 𝗦𝗧𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗦 𝗪𝗜𝗧𝗛 𝗨𝗦. 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗡𝗧 𝗢𝗙 𝗙𝗥𝗔𝗠𝗘 🖼️ 📷 As Jingjin Liu and I embarked on the journey of building ELEVATE, we understand the importance of representation. In search of inspiration for company photos, we typed "2 Asian female founders" into Google. To our surprise, the results were limited. They mostly showed individual founders within larger collages rather than showcasing pairs like us. We also couldn't find anyone else who looked like us. This was a clear sign of the scarcity of representation we face daily. But we believe in the power of visibility – "We can be who we can see." This isn't just a saying; it's a call to action. That's why we decided to take matters into our own hands. 📸✨ We aim to provide new images that others can look up to. We are here not just to add to the numbers but to fundamentally change the game. With ELEVATE, we're aiming to redefine the landscape for future generations of Asian female founders. Join us on this journey.
