Digital Competition Law in Europe is an indispensable guide to quickly and accessibly acquiring in-depth knowledge of competition law in the digital sector 📃 ‘Digital competition’ is a term and concept that has risen to the forefront of competition law and may be viewed as both promising and cautionary: on the one hand, it brings the promises of increased speed, efficiency and objectivity, and, on the other, it entails potential pitfalls such as hard-to-identify pathways to unfair pricing, dominant positions and their potential abuse, restriction of choice and abuse of personal data. Accordingly, jurisdictions around the world are taking measures to deal with the phenomenon. The new title was written by lawyers from two prominent firms with specialised digital competition teams: Marc Ph.M. Wiggers, Ph.D., Robin Struijlaart, Joost Dibbits and guest authors Tristan Byrne, Giuseppe Colangelo, Ai Deng, PhD, Teodora Groza, Daniel Mandrescu, wolf sauter, Thibault Schrepel, and Gareth Shier #competition #internationallaw #digitalcompetition

Digital Markets Research Hub, hosted by Prof. Oles Andriychuk Thank you so much! I had a great time with Prof. Caio Mario S. Pereira Neto and Prof. Vinicius Klein, about several hot topics involving competition law in digital markets. Just that a look to the video released below. #digitalmarkets #antitrustlaw #regulation #policy #consumerwelfare #cade
New rules regulating digital competition are considered across different jurisdictions. Many countries traditionally look at EU and UK as the regulatory labs for designing new sui generis ex-ante regimes for digital markets. Yet the experimental nature of these rules urges for a two-way street. With this in mind, I have invited for a detailed conversation on the situation with competition law & digital markets in Brazil with three excellent competition experts – Professors Caio Mario S. Pereira Neto, Juliana Oliveira Domingues and Vinicius Klein. We discussed Brazilian competition law and policy in general and looked at regulation of digital markets in particular. I'm sure colleagues interested in theoretical and comparative aspects of the reform will find this panel useful. Prof. Caio Mario S.
