🙋♀️ 7 questions you can ask women returning to the workforce/consulting.. Curious about the superpowers of women rejoining the workforce or diving back into their business ventures? I’ve cooked up a list of questions that would make any such woman feel seen and valued. But first, why ask these questions? Stick around, and you’ll find out! But let's start from the top. ☝ If you're playing matchmaker for gigs and gurus, don't beat around the bush. Start off with presenting the gig, and then telling them about a potential fee/salary. You can then quickly determine whether or not its worth continue talking. 🌟 How do you envision leveraging your expertise to drive value in our projects and for our clients? 🌟 How do you see your unique perspective can contribute to the team's dynamics and productivity? 🌟 How can we best accommodate your needs for flexibility while ensuring mutual success in project engagements? 🌟 Given the rapid pace of change in our industry, how do you stay updated on new trends and technologies? 🌟 Can you discuss a project or initiative you led that you're particularly proud of? What was your role, and what were the results? 🌟 How do you see your role as a consultant/employee evolving within an organization, and what areas are you most excited to explore? 🌟 Can you discuss a time when you had to adapt your working style to meet the needs of different stakeholders? That's the kind of questions I would've loved to hear in the phone call I had the other day. Instead of focusing on my last 2 years experience – you know, having my mini-me less than two years ago (he didn't hit preschool till 14 months), meant I've been juggling diapers and deadlines like a circus act to claw my way back to biz. Oh yeah and an added bonus was rounding up the call 5 min phone call telling me the fee was half of my standard fee. Thanks, but no thanks. 🤷♀️ Do you have any questions to add? 😊 _____________ 👋 I'm Alexandra M. Davis 🥷 🚀 My goal it to disrupt traditional recruitment, championing diversity, equity and inclusion! 🌱 Connect or hit follow for more talent and recruitment shenanigans!

Founder CEO at Atrium | Extended Workforce Management and Talent Solutions | Building the workforce of tomorrow by putting people first.
It's staggering to say this in 2024, but women-owned businesses like Atrium are still in the minority. When we opened our doors nearly thirty years ago, I knew our approach to workforce management and talent solutions was unique. What I didn’t realize was how rare companies like ours would be three decades later: 🔸According to the Women Business Collaborative, women make up 66% of the workforce at staffing firms, but only half of executive positions and just 33% of board seats 🔸Outside of the staffing world, women make up 50.7% of the college-educated workforce in the U.S., but only 10.6% are CEOs of the Fortune 500 So the fact that Atrium has been included on Staffing Industry Analysts' annual list of Diversity-Owned Staffing Firms again for 2024 matters: https://bit.ly/4ch6OSX We hold a special place in this industry and I hope through our example, the next generation of female leaders will rise to join us. #Atrium #WBENC #WomenOwned

It was great to see so many women at yesterday's session, over 180 people joined to explore the theme of "Befriending Your Inner Critic". It's clear that the impact of the inner critic or self-doubt, is a common experience among women, regardless of their background or seniority and this can have a real impact on our confidence and career progression. Our guest speaker, Gemma Brown (PCC), a personal and business coach, shared how to better understand and manage your inner critic through compassion and self-discovery. If self-doubt is holding you back try this reflective exercise that Gemma suggested: - Think of a situation where your inner critic is loud - What is happening? Who are you with? What are you doing? - What is your inner critic saying to you about the situation? - How is it making you feel? - What are the consequences of these messages? Journalling is an amazing tool to bring things into our awareness, for finding clarity and for self-coaching. The more you do this in retrospect, the more you will identify patterns and then you will eventually become more aware in the moment. Thank you Gemma for sharing this with us! If you came to the session, let us know what you thought in the comments below ⬇️ At Thresholds, we hold free sessions each month discussing issues that impact women in the workplace. To find out what's happening check out our events page where you can sign up for sessions. https://lnkd.in/dhneDMRE
