Think success is 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 about hard work? 🤔   (It’s also about how you celebrate it) 🥳💃🥂   We know that our recent achievements and milestones at Cleancorp are the direct result of team's dedication and relentless effort.    So, what did we do?  We stepped away from our desks and came together for a beautiful work lunch at Sails on Lavender Bay.   But it felt like anything but ‘work’.    Here's the thing: When your workplace genuinely feels like a family, well... work doesn't feel like "work".   We know the word 'family' gets thrown around a lot in corporate settings.    And let’s be honest… 'family' is often used to label team unity without actually putting in the work to create real connections. But when you celebrate each other, share stories, and build stronger connections,    It doesn’t feel like a work event – it feels like a gathering of friends.   So, here’s what last Friday reminded us of:   👉 That we win together as a team.   👉 We absolutely own it, day in and day out, when it comes to work  👉 Our leadership is collaborative, rather than from the top down We cherish these opportunities to come together to not only highlight, but most of all, celebrate the people we "win together" with.

What Do You Do to Make Work Fun? Our Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment team believe that a little fun goes a long way in boosting team spirit and performance. That’s why they're spicing things up with a classic game of Snakes and Ladders! 🐍 Each of our branches have their own customised board... and a fluffy dice (naturally!) and can land on special squares for coffee, beer, or breakfast rewards! Just as the work we do is super important, so are the people that pull off this mission we have been given. 🫶 Spending time with co-workers outside of just getting the to-do list is crucial for building strong relationships and fostering a sense of community. When we engage in activities that aren't solely focused on work, we have the opportunity to connect on a personal level, building trust and understanding. This leads to improved collaboration and teamwork. Today we enjoyed a 🌮 taco bar lunch and went around the table to share our hidden talents or interests! When we feel a genuine connection with our co-workers, we are more motivated, engaged, and committed to the success of the team. Building a sense of community at work creates a supportive network where colleagues can rely on each other for support and problem-solving. What do you enjoy the most about the people you work with? If you ask someone how they’re going at work and it’s not great, then it usually has something to do with people…colleagues, boss, stakeholders, vendors, customers…. The people we work with have such a major influence on our experience and enjoyment at work. I stumbled upon the below image “green flags for co-workers” and it got me thinking. We always know when things are not right….but how do you know when you work with great people? What are your Green Flags for a great co-worker? ⭐️ for a bonus point…tag some who is a great colleague. We don’t often enough show gratitude to the people who deserve it

What is UP Outdoorsy Bosses! Check out our Company Culture episode 2, as we share ways to incentivize staff and promote internal competition so they naturally aspire to excel amongst their peers. Motivate your employees with goals you set as an owner. Make these available weekly or monthly. Setting up internal competitions provides a fun, game-like atmosphere, celebrate their successes during each company meeting. Pictured is Kevin's landscape contracting business where employees would vote on whom they thought provided the most effort and value for the team and company during that month. Behind them you see a crew competition board where crews race to win the monthly top score. These were scores of their work given by managers whom graded each crew's property jobs each week. Customers whom praised a particular crew or individual we celebrated by creating the 'Complimen-Tree' on left- where crews would place their crew colored leaf onto this tree to populate the most praises each month. The company culture was to have multiple ways in which ALL employees could become engaged and make a difference, winning prizes, time off, etc to feel apart of the company growth. 🏃♂️ Just finished an incredible run at Windermere! Sometimes, running solo gives you that much-needed space for reflection, but running with hundreds of people today was a real buzz. It reminded me of one of our values at A-SAFE - "We're in it together." 🤝 Whether it's building relationships at work or collaborating on ideas, we achieve more when we come together as a team. Every Tuesday, my team and I inject some energy into our week with a meeting that’s anything but ordinary. Far from the usual corporate gathering, our meetings are a unique mix of: - Analyzing performance metrics - Sharing new knowledge - Enjoying some lighthearted fun Here’s our formula: 1. First, we review our key performance indicators to stay aligned and informed. 2. Each team member then shares a new piece of knowledge or insight. It’s incredible to see the wealth of information we accumulate together. 3. We lighten the mood with our “Fun Question of the Week.” This week’s question, “What food do you hate?” was a particular hit! We conclude with the latest announcements and updates on company policies. These moments of laughter and collective learning are what truly shape our team culture. How about your team meetings? Q: What do you enjoy most about working here?  A: Solving problems. Q: What’s your favorite feature in our dashboard?  A: Our competitors tool—it’s a great way to see how your site measures up. Q: What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?  A: I’m half Spanish. Q: If you could be any animal, what would you be and why?  A: I’d be a dog, so I can chill with my dogs all day, every day. Q: What are your hobbies or interests outside of work?  A: I play piano! Soccer and music are my life. Q: Who or what inspires you the most?  A: My amazing wife. Q: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?  A: The ability to pause time. Sometimes there aren’t enough hours in the day. Q: What’s your favorite movie or TV show and why?  A: Lately, I’ve enjoyed The White Lotus, Andor, and The Last of Us. The Office is my all-time comfort show. Q: What’s one professional skill you’re currently working on?  A: I’m focusing on enhancing my organizational skills. Q: What’s your favorite tool or software that helps you with your work?  A: Honestly? Dark Reader is life-changing. When I joined Take a Seat, one of the biggest things that was a non-negotiable for me was a great company culture.   Culture is everything here. We're not just coworkers, we're friends too. We laugh, we learn, and we crush goals together.   We believe in work hard, play hard. We're serious about our jobs, but we also know how to unwind. Whether it's team outings like today where we will be celebrating birthdays or just hanging out, we've always got each other's backs.   Everyone here has a voice. We're all about open communication and fresh ideas. No egos, just people passionate about what we do.   A strong team culture is the foundation of our success. It's what brings us together, drives innovation, and ultimately really makes me look forward to coming into work each day.   How important is a company culture to you?
