We are truly proud to announce that the presidents of AQUA METERING and #VDDW - the Association of the German Water and Thermal Energy Meter Industry - have signed a specific agreement to cooperate on two crucial issues. 💧On one hand, it pertains to the #MIDdirective, set to be revised in 2024, and on the other hand, it involves the #EUBlueDeal, an ambitious project addressing water, a vital but increasingly scarce resource, as a cross-cutting theme. It's essential that the EU Blue Deal aligns seamlessly with the #EUGreenDeal and the #SDGs. 🤝Aqua and VDDW agree to work together to streamline efforts for increased effectiveness, reduce double work, and strengthen the positions of both associations towards authorities. We are excited about this cooperation, which promises to make significant contributions to addressing future challenges in the industry. In partnership with the Baton Rouge Area Chamber, the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance, Inc. and the Baton Rouge Area Carbon Reduction Alliance, Energy Conference Network is proud to launch the Gulf Coast Industrial Decarbonization Forum, to be held in Baton Rouge on May 21-22, 2024. This inaugural conference and exhibition will focus on: • Strategies and technologies that the industry can implement to reach its net zero targets; • Regional opportunities to develop cleantech/climatetech solutions;  • How Government, Industry, Educational Institutions, not-for-profits, and solution providers can collaborate to effect real action and outcomes. While best known for being the global energy capital, the Gulf Coast also has a tremendous manufacturing footprint and a transportation/logistics hub, a hotbed of new technology, and home to some of the world's most progressive and innovative organizations. The Decarbonisation Business Stream at ERCE is experiencing a surge in demand, particularly for Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) studies across Europe and the Asia-Pacific region. We take pride in having delivered Europe's first Public Competent Persons Report (CPR) for Harbour Energy's Viking CCS Project, adhering to the SPE SRMS Standard. Following this, we've completed two further CPRs under the same standard, focusing on both saline aquifers and depleted fields. The Institute of Directors (IoD) has responded to Ofgem’s consultation on its non-domestic energy market review. 📢 Ofgem has identified and prioritised several key areas of consumer harm. It has developed a package of proposed policy measures to address these harms. The IoD has received numerous reports from members of the non-domestic market not functioning adequately. We believe that some of the policy changes suggested in this consultation have the potential to create a non-domestic market which better meets business’ needs, most importantly by improving businesses’ access to redress.
