When asked, "What made you want to write your book?" The text below pretty much summarizes it all. A main goal I had when publishing For the Strong Girls was to have the book used as a resource in child-life specialist departments nationwide to remind patients what they are feeling is normal and okay. I believe that by addressing the often unspoken mental struggles that accompany disabilities and lifelong illnesses we can create a society where individuals feel secure and less alone in what they are going through. As we enter 2024, I am hoping For the Strong Girls reaches those who could benefit from having this book as a resource.
