Safety Moment! I hired a car in #houston from a reputable #rentalcar company. I checked the car for damage including the tyre sidewalls and had not noticed the tyre condition on the treads. After driving for 5 days thankfully I noticed that the tyre had gone flat overnight. After changing the tyre I found that the hire car company had let me loose with two front tyres in this condition! They put my life and others at risk. I wanted to share this to make sure you check your rental car tyres before driving and not relying on the rental car company for checking car condition. In 30 years of using rental cars I have never experienced this appalling situation; or have I and did I just not check and unknowingly done so? Lesson learned! Driving is one of the most dangerous things we do each time we travel by car. #carsafety #roadsafety
