I’m often asked if there’s a way to make #InterruptionMarketing channels operate more like #ReceptionMarketing. The answer’s “yes, but…” 👉 Yes but… it requires cohesion with the rest of your marketing. 👉 Yes but… it can’t follow the traditional format of talking at the audience. 👉 Yes but… it needs to attempt to catch them where they are and bring them to where you want them. This ad is both brilliant and funny. And it checks two of the three “yes, buts” above. The first one is a “maybe” because I don’t know who did this and what their other marketing looks like. In fact, for all I know, it’s just a meme. But it is also a good example of how interruption marketing can become reception marketing.

From TV to mobile phones, from advertising billboards to signs on street corners, it’s nearly impossible to avoid. It’s literally content overload! And because this information is so readily available, we have begun to expect immediate answers and the right solutions.
