The article below is a great overview to be aware of: 1) Suspicious sender Email 2) Urgent or fear-inducing language 3) Unusual URLs 4) Generic greetings 5) Grammatical errors Should you be on the receiving end, it pays to be cautious and take the time to make a call to the "sender" to confirm the e-mail is legitimate. Otherwise, you may find yourself on the other end as the victim and being bombarded with frantic calls from those who are now receiving similar e-mails, supposedly from you! Should you inadvertently click on the link provided....immediately consult with your IT folks to scan your systems and lock it all down. It can happen to anyone!
