More sanity from the biggest traditional OEM betting on the future with aclarity. Consider that this directive will come from, and be endorsed by HQ in Korea. HKMC has been fairly fearless in betting on the future and has dragged along a supply chain towards these ends for over a decade now. They've live, established sector projects (e.g., AC V2G) betting on futures that are directionally-correct and not yet fully defined. They're doing the right thing to be competitive for a better future - and the resulting products are good, very good. Lowest-common-denominator industry advocacy in times of change doesn't work at all. HKMC is right to break with the FCAI. Being on the right side of history here isn't a hard call, and they've made it. Kudos.

We recognise the need for support in helping #fleets transition to zero-emission light commercial vehicles 🍃 🚛 As members of the BVRLA, we’ve worked with our partners to co-sign an urgent appeal addressed to local MPs, the Transport Secretary, and other government representatives to support this initiative 🤝 Here’s what our LCV National Corporate Sales Manager and Committee Member for the BVRLA, Simon Simmons, has to say: “This campaign asks for expressed support of the Zero Emission Van (ZEV) Plan, which sets out to achieve the below: - Increased fiscal support for fleet operators; extending the Plug-in Grant and helping enterprises purchase used BEV vans. - Improved support for public and private charging; producing a fund and guidance to help fleets upgrade their grid connection and navigate the process. Additionally, to use existing regulations to ensure public charging works for BEV vans. - Remove regulatory barriers on larger ZEVs; preventing 4.25t ZEV vans from being MOT’d as an HGV. We know that with your help, we can increase publicity for this appeal and make sure the 70% target remains achievable. That’s why we’re asking for the support of all fleet operators, who we urge to join us in contacting their local MPs.” Contact your local MP using the BVRLA’s online tool to help keep us on the road to a zero emission van future: https://lnkd.in/eHGD2wQA #SustainableTransport #CVs #EVs #VanPlan

We recently assisted Commercial Motor with their Volvo Trucks UK FMX Electric v Diesel Head-To-Head ⚡🚛 As the specialists in commercial DC charging solutions, Vital EV was approached by Commercial Motor for our comments and analysis of truck charging applications. Having worked successfully with a wide range of truck OEMs, dealerships and operators, we explained about the optimum charging speeds for different use-case scenarios while emphasising the need for credible aftersales support programmes to maximise uptime and availability. #indian #evindustry needs to seriously introspect. Customers have a lot of concerns and/or predicament and/or clarifications. Such news actually generates serious dissonance in customers minds. Currently the issues are more about the product and obvious for any new concept. But such serious issues, that too for two of the biggest, plant serious doubts for the customers.
Krishan Pal Gurjar, has confirmed that two electric vehicle OEMs have been suspended from the #FAME scheme https://lnkd.in/gHb5vpdQ

GM issued a voluntary emissions recall for certain units of the GMC Savana van due to an issue related to the diesel particulate matter sensor. The defect does not affect safety, therefore, is not a matter for NHTSA. Affected vehicles equipped with the Duramax turbodiesel 2.8L I4 LWN engine may have a condition where the Engine Control Module (ECM) may not properly handle diagnostic information for the exhaust particulate matter (PM) sensor. As a result, the ECM may be prevented from diagnosing the functionality of other components. In addition, if a PM sensor fault were to occur, then a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) or the malfunction indicator lamp (check engine light) may fail to illuminate. General Motors didn’t disclose how many vehicles are affected by this voluntary emissions recall. #recallmasters
