For well over a year, there have been massive layoffs in multiple industries but especially in #tech. For a lot of us, this is the first time we've had to navigate around this. As someone who has had to deal with this multiple times (and has recently been impacted), I decided to create a free guide for any first timers and potential first timers dealing with this difficult situation. Link is in the comments! #layoffs #techlayoffs

Here is an updated report on all the #layoffs in the #tech industry in 2024. The numbers are staggering, and will likely only continue to grow. This is a great article detailing all the tech layoffs, but it also has some ideas on where these talented folks might start looking for work elsewhere. It's time for everyone to think outside the box. Start looking at industries other than tech who have needs that your skills and experience can benefit. The link will be in the comments. Good luck out there folks!

#Layoffs are here in 2024. #Layoffs were there in 2008. #Layoff were in the year 2001. So layoffs are around forever. If you think you will NEVER be #impacted by layoffs then most likely you are WRONG. Because even if you survive one... You will always feel #insecure... And chances are that your #workload will increase by 2X because your #coworkers got fired and you survived. So here is how you check for layoff signals... 1. Too many Senior/ CXO folks #quitting 2. Too much focus on cost reduction 3. Drying new #business #pipeline 4. Reducing #revenue QoQ 5. Reducing #profits QoQ 6. #Hiringfreeze A combination of these may indicate potential layoff (not definitive). So it is always wise to keep learning market relevant #skills and gain #experience. 💯 Apply for jobs once a year even if you don't want to change. Give some #interviews. It will give you a good idea of the process and a reality check of where you stand 🙂 #layoffs2024 #hrhiring #qaengineer #UFT #automationtesting #manualtesting 🔥💯🚀

Companies, if you have done more than one round of layoffs in the past two years, (tech industry, Im looking at you) please do not screen out candidates for moderate levels of “job hopping.” “Loyalty” goes both ways. #layoffs #recruiting

I really wished we discussed this more. Holding multiple temporary jobs is a sign of an engaged, willing, hard worker, not someone who is flighty or unable to commit. Having multiple layoffs may be the unfortunate luck of the draw. Leaving toxic and abusive leadership is not a personal failing. We are looking for perfection in hires in a truly imperfect world, and that is why employers are not meeting their employment needs. Adaptation is survival in all aspects of business.
