Teamwork makes the dream work as they say in business! Having a supportive team around you is very important whether in your day to day biz goals or for your personal goals. I work with a terrific group of people at Tabor Communications on my professional side, while having awesome teammates with We Are NYC Running Club on my athletics side. Surround yourself with positive, supportive, uplifting people who help each other achieve goals. This has been so true with my efforts raising funds for the Boston Marathon charity I'm running for to earn my place at the race. It's also a cause very close to me as cancer runs in my family. My heart is filled with gratitude over the generosity that so many have shown on this journey with me. With 121 days to go we have raised $7200 towards the $10,000 goal of supporting the wonderful early cancer detection organization I'm raising funds for - DetecTogether - and also helping me get to the start line of the 2024 Boston Marathon. Hello all, The GACI Global Worldwide Walk - is our annual fundraiser to spread awareness and fund further research into the rare diseases GACI and ARHR2. Generalized Arterial Calcification of Infancy (GACI) is a rare genetic disease that primarily affects the circulatory system. GACI causes an abnormal buildup of calcium within the walls of the arteries. This can cause critical blockages, which can reduce blood flow to organs, which in turn can cause stroke, heart attack, and death. 50% of babies born with GACI do not survive past 6 months. There is currently no approved treatment for GACI. ARHR2 (Autosomal Recessive Hypophosphatemic Rickets) is characterized by bone pain, bone deformities, increased risk of bone fractures, fatigue, short stature, and calcium deposits in the sites where ligaments and tendons attach to the bones (calcific enthesopathy). ARHR2 is a lifelong and chronic condition.
