To be able to compete against boom robots you need to "sell smart" be you a modular robot like Medtronic Robotic-Assisted Surgery Hugo RAS, or a mini robot like Virtual Incision - there are ways that you can live in the world along side the booms - and there are good reasons why surgeons choose not to have boom robots.
