Did you know that calcium channels can hyperpolarize a neuron's plasma membrane? It's true! At Federation of European Neuroscience Societies - FENS Hazel Erkan Candag will present our latest discovery on how TRPC3-mediated Ca2 influx activates SK channels, leading to pronounced hyperpolarization and a reduction in neuronal firing. Join us this Friday at the Poster Hall from 11:30 to 13:00: PS05-28AM-346 - The calcium link uncovered: investigating TRPC3 and SK3 channels interaction

We know that many people support the principles of credibility, but are yet to try out some of recent initiatives to increase reproducibility and open science, or just aren't sure how to go about making their experimental approaches more robust, reproducible and replicable. Our set of credibility toolkits act as short guides to help give practical pointers to how you can increase credibility in neuroscience. We already have ones covering in vitro & in vivo neuroscience, preregistration & registered reports, and preregistration posters. Our new toolkit covers some key things to consider for neuroimaging research, and brings together content from webinars we've hosted plus other resources. This was put together by our former placement student Grace Cooper, aided by guidance from Josefina Weinerova Roni Tibon Esther Walton and our Credibility Advisory Board member Olivia Simela Kowalczyk. You can check out the new toolkit at: https://lnkd.in/gbzr5FNC We're currently also looking for a new ECR to join our advisory board, applications close on Friday 26 July: https://lnkd.in/gwnt-VDU
