Zoominfo is the Grey Goose of sales engagement tools ... Grey Goose (IMO) is low quality vodka that is considered a top shelf "must have" almost exclusively to their brand power. It is great they have the reputation but when you taste test GG... it is a very clear loser. Zoominfo is 1. Overpriced 2. Awful customer service 3. Awful customer retention Zoominfo stock is down 39.78% in the last year thanks to 1,2 and 3. I love migrating customers from Zoominfo to Apollo.io almost as much as I love moving #Salesforce customers to #hubspot. If you want to know more...ping me. Gong vs. ZoomInfo's Chorus... 30k views, 130 comments later... Safe to say the discussion grabbed some Attention. Here's the shocker 🤘 We didn't go with Gong OR Chorus... We ended up picking Attention. Here's why: Hefty platform fees aside (Attention has none), the solution fit all of the criteria we were looking for and then some. 1. Attention directly integrated into our more niche CRM and video conferencing provider and mapped data to exact fields. (Not saying who... but other tools didn't do that, which was a necessity) 2. From a call intelligence standpoint, Attention is incredibly competitive in the market. Additionally, the ability to auto-generate scorecards and easily identify coaching trends is game-changing. 3. Pricing was very fair considering the CI competitiveness and lack of contract / platform fee. Month to month contract. (Not being locked into a multi-year contract was a big ➕ for us.) 4. The sales process was well done, from intro call to close, the Attention team was very involved with the whole process. --- Gong and ZoomInfo have built great products, this is in no way meant to bash them (I've used both, they're great). Every company and it's needs is different, the job of every seller is to find out how well your company solves those needs. Attention did that for us, maybe they can do that for you too. Smart sales teams are dipping their toes into content creation. And they're using a format they're already familiar with: Zoom webinars. The MVP playbook looks like the following: 1. Prepare some slides with a few partners 2. Record a webinar using Zoom 3. Use Opus to clip key insights and industry opinions 4. Publish on LinkedIn / YouTube 5. Retarget prospects with a follow up sequence ___ I like the lightweight approach. But I'm also noticing the same repeated mistake when sales teams use Zoom. When screen sharing, Zoom overlays the speaker on top of the presentation. This negates any hope of reusing the talking head for a clip on LinkedIn (too blurry). Or repurposing technical demos without cropping out 20% of the screen. It limits the webinar, because you can’t use it for asynchronous, short-form content. ___ If you must record using Zoom (I recommend Riverside.fm instead): 1. Login to Zoom via your browser 2. Go to Settings > Recordings 3. Check "Record active speaker, gallery view and shared screen separately" The next time you record a webinar, your video stream, presentation view, and audio tracks will be stored as separate files in the cloud.
