Let's have a look at the most important issues in survey design, as the power of a well-designed and precise question is often overlooked. It's not just about what you ask, but how you ask it! The small nuances can make all the difference. Simplicity is the key - a clear, concise question can elicit better responses and ultimately, better data. Then comes the importance of sequencing. A logical, natural flow can significantly improve the participation rate. And most importantly: participant experience. Who wants to fill out page by page of a boring grid question? 🔍 Understanding the Difference Between Customer and Buyer Journeys in Geospatial Marketing! If you're creating content for your Survey Biz or Geospatial-focused company, listen up: 🗺️ The customer journey spans the ENTIRE experience with your brand. It doesn't matter if you are a survey firm or selling survey tools to surveyors - you need to understand how to communicate to your market at different stages of their journey. Why? because you will be missing out on so much money! The customer journey is split into two parts; Pre Buying Journey and Post Buying Journey Most of you are communicating in the Post Buying Journey. Things like 'buy now', 'request a quote', 'we survey roads', 'we are utility surveyors' etc.. What about those prospects who are not sure who to speak to? We are pleased to present our latest report design to the professional community. The report, "No Time to Gamble: Leaders Must Unite to Prevent Pandemics," assesses the progress made in implementing the recommendations provided by the Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness and Response to the World Health Assembly in May 2021, following an extensive eight-month review of the global response to COVID-19. To enhance the report's impact, we developed customized illustrations, charts, and iconography to effectively summarize and convey its key findings. Communicating the massive effect of COVID and the results of continued lack of investment made these graphics paramount to the report’s messaging. My favourites from this report are: “COVID’s lasting legacy” (page 16) and “The consequences of not investing in pandemic preparedness and response” (page 37). These graphics look simple but they were challenging to create.
