Roland-Garros showed me how not to treat clients 😂 I recently attended another Grand Slam this year, this time in Paris, which concluded last Sunday. While the sports vibe was cool, the persistent rain and service shortcomings left much to be desired. Here are some service takeaways I gleaned from my rainy, chilly experience, so you won't have to brave it yourself soaking wet. ➡️Being quick to adapt to client needs is crucial: The tournament is held outdoors, and Paris decided to mimic Eminem's "Stan" with non-stop rain. This led to significant disruptions in scheduling, yet even after four days of downpour, there were no options for basic warm drinks or adequate shelter. Organizers missed a prime opportunity to enhance visitor satisfaction by failing to adapt to changing conditions. ➡️Legacy thinking stifles innovation: Roland-Garros operates in a distinctly traditional manner, complete with Moet and Chandon pop-ups and exclusive venues for premium ticket holders. This reluctance to innovate and modernize impedes their ability to meet customer expectations and enhance overall appeal. It's a cautionary tale for any client-focused business looking to stay relevant. ➡️Monopolies are just bad for clients: As one of the top four tennis tournaments globally, Roland-Garros sells out tickets months in advance. The high demand often results in reduced emphasis on attendee comfort and satisfaction. Just as in marketing and PR services, healthy competition ensures continuous improvement and innovation, proving there's always room for better service. Now that the European Championships are over, we can reflect on its impact on the hospitality industry in the host cities. 👀 Here are some interesting stats that were uncovered: 📈The latest Mastercard SpendingPulse report shows that football fans from Europe and around the world have boosted the catering industry: In Dortmund, sales have shot up by an impressive 283% compared to last year. Cologne is second with 144.2 % and Stuttgart follows with 102.2 %. 🏨 Cologne's Hotel Industry (June 2024 year-over-year % change): Occupancy: 81.2% ( 7.9%), reaching a monthly high of 95.5% on June 4th. ADR: EUR174.18 ( 35.5%) RevPAR: EUR141.47 ( 46.2%) With heightened tourism traffic, it's crucial for hotels to be innovative and capitalize on these events. Our customer Brenner Hotel added a QR code to in-room tablets, allowing guests to participate in betting during the games. A brilliant idea as it enhances the guest experience, and sets the hotel apart from competitors by offering a unique and interactive element💡

For our project with the Porsche team, "75 Years of Porsche Sports Cars," we've secured 2x Gold at the Galaxy Award and received nominations at the bea Award in Rome and Heavent Award in Cannes. The competition and the competitive landscape among international agencies are incredibly strong. Therefore, we are delighted with the 2x Gold and nominations and extend congratulations once again to all winners!👏🏽 What are our takeaways? Year by year, the focus shifts increasingly towards KPIs, success measurement, and efficiency in utilizing clients' event marketing budgets. This is when exhibitors choose a Show floor location based on their seniority in a process that literally builds the SEMA Show section by section, booth by booth. "It is like the order of a pro sports draft; we rank each exhibitor by seniority, determined by how many SEMA Shows an exhibitor has participated in and by Show section," said Andy Tompkins, SEMA trade show director.
