🇺🇸 The Pacific Coast states are progressing in offshore wind energy development: California has secured five lease areas off its coast, accounting for 4.6 GW, in an auction by the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM), and Oregon is looking at an additional 2.6 GW of offshore wind power potential.   However, to achieve these goals, these states need to navigate challenges in permitting, supply chains, and grid infrastructure.   To facilitate discussions, the Global Transmission Report is organizing the 2nd annual Offshore Wind Transmission West conference.
