Qantas has one of the most interesting international networks, but this chart intentionally missed an international destination. What is it? This week's newsletter looks at the Qantas international network from the Australian perspective. The Spirit of Australia has long tested the range capabilities of long-haul aircraft. The lone operator of the 747-400ER, Qantas extended its reach into North America, but it wasn’t until the arrival of the 787-9 that Qantas could hit the holy grail - London. Traditionally served through one-stop destinations (including a one-stop through Singapore that still operates today), Qantas utilized the 787-9 to offer Australia’s first nonstop service to London - from Perth. Recently, Qantas has announced they will also add service to Rome and Paris with the aircraft, tripling the number of European destinations offered non-stop from Australia. Also, as a shout-out to our Australian readers, we offer a unique Aussie perspective of the chart. We offer fake internet points to the first person identifying the missing international origin and destination. Bonus points for finding the unfortunate auto-correct in our analysis that breaks the mother of all Australian Av-geek rules. We noticed it too late. See the Aussie view and read the analysis: https://lnkd.in/gW6Fu6h7 #airlinesandairplanes #aviation

Hey, Air Canada, do you think is it a fair way to treat your customers like this: - to cancel the flight due to crew constraint and to rebook it for another one departing in 21 hours - to set up an online compensation request tool in a way not allowing claiming for compensation entitled by law because the rebooked flight (which departed 21 hours later) was not delayed - to not react to an online request for 11 days - to train the call center stuff to just suggest customers reaching customer service online again instead of solving the exact issue?
