Last Friday, I had the pleasure to congratulate eschbach on their new #HomeOfShiftConnector, their new offices in downtown Bad Säckingen. I could witness how the team from all international #Eschbach offices really took ownership of the new #collaboration environment, nicely designed and realized by architect Franz Michler and his partner in interior design. I was also happy to share some aspects and experiences around Industrie 5.0: after the hype around Industrie 4.0, we need to realize that we should not design humans out of the system too quickly. For once, the real-world industrial environment is simply not ready for a fully end-to-end automation of value chains across different companies and customers, despite many euphoric articles and consulting studies. And I am also convinced that - despite the current #AI hype - humans are great at many things (sound decision making in ambigous environments, transferring experience and knowledge to unknown situations, having fun, ...). So we should focus on what data, information and technology best support humans so that we can focus on our strengths. https://lnkd.in/dFB5A6h3

🎨✨ Exploring the Art-Real Estate Connection in Stellenbosch ✨🎨 Stellenbosch isn't just known for its world-class vineyards and a burgeoning hub for art lovers! 🍇➕🖼️ The town's rich cultural life is not just a feast for the senses but also a magnet for real estate interest. Why does art matter in real estate? Areas enriched with cultural venues and artistic activities, like Stellenbosch, often see enhanced property values. Art districts attract cafes, boutiques, and vibrant street life, attracting those who appreciate a lively community atmosphere. 🏡👩🎨 Here's the scoop: Cultural Appeal: Properties near art galleries, theatres, and music venues boast a higher desirability factor. This cultural proximity increases real estate demand and, subsequently, property values. Community Vibrancy: Local arts programs and cultural festivals, like those in Stellenbosch, contribute to community engagement, making these areas preferred living spaces for many. As Walter Gropius once said, "Art is an essential part of the community." In real estate, the presence of a thriving art scene can signify a robust, dynamic community, appealing to residents and investors alike. 🏙️ Are you drawn to areas with a rich cultural scene? Could integrating more art into our communities enhance property values and quality of life? Let’s discuss how we can harness the transformative power of art in real estate. #RealEstate #ArtAndCulture #Stellenbosch #CommunityDevelopment #InvestmentOpportunity

Behold another stroke of innovation from Amsterdam! Captured in Vondelpark, this photo showcases an extraordinary bin – complete with a built-in beverage caddy! Initially, it may strike you as peculiar, right? Well, dear friends, this remarkable trashcan tackles multiple issues with finesse. Just as we do with our concept at Mr.Green | Boutique Office Collection, where we embrace the ethos of addressing multiple (societal) challenges simultaneously. In the Netherlands, where practicality and innovation intersect, they've pioneered a deposit system for bottles and cans, akin to many other European countries. However, not everyone relishes the idea of carting around empty cans and bottles until they stumble upon a deposit-return spot. Enter the "donation rings" – simplifying the process for those in need to gather discarded items and claim the deposit effortlessly. It's a triumphant story of waste reduction, recycling advocacy, and above all, empowerment for those reaping the benefits of the reclaimed cash. A Win-Win-Win indeed! Interestingly, our inaugural members at Mr.Green Amsterdam are aptly named BINBIN 💚 The brilliance of the Netherlands, and particularly in this case Amsterdam, lies in its knack for creatively confronting challenges with elegant, simple and practical solutions. Connect with us to delve deeper into Mr. Green's innovative concept that tackles multiple (societal) issues seamlessly. #innovation #OfficeAsAService #WebOfSustainablility #Amsterdam #AmsterdamCentraal #NSAmsterdam Mr.Green | Boutique Office Collection Nederlandse Spoorwegen NS International Lounge Amsterdam Centraal Station I amsterdam

The. J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ One of the 𝗕𝗜𝗚𝗚𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗥𝗨𝗡𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗘𝗩𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 in the world! 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ And SAP 𝗙𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸𝗳𝘂𝗿𝘁 joined and invited us to run with them! 5.6 km through Frankfurt's city center, my home turf - together with thousands of like-minded people from the business world who set off. A great opportunity to spend quality time with colleagues away from the workplace and engage in friendly competition. The idea for the company run, which was brought from New York to Germany in 1993, was unusual. The third-largest American financial institution at the time invited employees from other companies to run together over 5.6 kilometers, organized as a team run for women, men and mixed teams, without official timekeeping. For once, employees of a company should do something other than work at their desks or meet up at the company party. As a result of the joint activity with colleagues, the atmosphere in the workplace would improve - it was said. With great effort, the organizing team was able to attract 527 runners from 57 companies. Now in 2024, over 60,000 runners conquered the streets of Frankfurt, with more than 2000 companies from the region and all over Germany! Incidentally, the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge has also become one of the biggest public festivals in Frankfurt. Initially, the finish line party took place on Römerberg. But after four years, there was no longer enough space for the rush of runners. The runners now gather around Frankfurt's Alte Oper after the race. The city character of the Corporate Challenge has been retained - combined with a unique community experience and a fantastic atmosphere. In the end, even the weather was right. Not too cold and not too hot. And the rain clouds, which were still hanging low over the city shortly before the start, largely held back apart from a brief drizzle. And after the run: celebrating together! The city of Frankfurt makes it possible to use several parks and green spaces as company meeting points (PartyPoints). I like the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge very much, it brings together companies from numerous locations across Germany to meet up outside of working hours, socialize and promote a healthy work culture. For us, this run is only secondarily about sport; more important are the values that we are striving for: Team spirit, communication, collegiality, fairness and health. The best part: The Corporate Challenge, J.P. Morgan supports charitable organizations in Germany. Every runner contributes part of their entry fee to this donation. The next J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge will take place in 2025. We´ll be down for it! Jonas Matt Marinella Hildt Tobias Naumann Alexander Michnov Jasmin Bickel Stefan Worm Joachim F. Kayser Giulia De Paduanis Katharina Henkel (thank you for the invite!)

✨Exciting Milestone for ULI in Poland! 🇵🇱 On September 18, #Tricity welcomed ULI, marking the Urban Land Institute's presence in the Tricity Agglomeration. Outside of Warsaw, Triciity is the first region in the country to host ULI and we couldn't have asked for a better start! The turnout exceeded our expectations, with invaluable contributions from key leaders. A special thanks to the Mayors who welcomed us: • #AleksandraDulkiewicz, Mayor of #Gdansk • Magdalena Czarzyńska - Jachim, Mayor of #Sopot • #AleksandraKosiorek, Mayor of #Gdynia Our gratitude also goes to Carlo Castelli for his thought-provoking presentation on the complex relationship between cities and water. The examples of how water defines cities' success were inspiring, highlighting both the beauty and the challenges that this natural element brings to urban planning. Another huge thanks to Piotr Lorens for sharing such a compelling vision of how essential dialogue is in shaping city spaces through collaboration with all stakeholders. Thank you to Katarzyna Gruszecka - Spychała, a long term ULI member, for sharing her inspiring journey with ULI and underlining the tangible benefits for our members.
