This yield surpasses the national average of approximately 4 tons per hectare. The DA highlighted the benefits of agricultural drones in simplifying the planting process of unhusked rice, leading to savings on farm inputs for farmers. With the assistance of drones, farmers can efficiently spread around 30 to 40 kilos of rice seeds across a hectare in just 10 to 15 minutes. Additionally, they can apply 15 litres of fertilizer and pesticide within six minutes, optimizing agricultural practices. The 10-hectare demonstration farm in Barangay Candawaga received support from the DA Mimaropa (Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and Palawan) Drone Team to implement this successful initiative. #dronesinagriculture #agriculturedronenews #agridrones
