Mr. “Afag” Siegfried “Sigi” Egli is retiring after more than 30 years with the company! With several interruptions, Sigi played a key role in shaping the development of Afag from 1977 - when he started out as an apprentice mechanical draughtsman - to his responsibility as Managing Director over a period of more than 47 years. During this time, “Apparatefabrik AG Huttwil” has developed into the internationally renowned Afag. Attributes such as: precise, absolutely reliable, technically competent and always on hand when needed, would be a good way to describe Sigi. A true “Swiss” who puts his heart and soul into his work. Close contact with customers has always been particularly important to him. In the picture gallery, Sigi can be seen at a long-standing customer with an LM20/60 module, which has been in use there for 26 years at a pick-and-place station without any downtime and has produced 80 million parts, which corresponds to 320 million individual strokes. 1moLieber Sigi, ich wünsche dir alles Gute zur Pensionierung. Gerne erinnere ich mich an unsere gemeinsamen Urzeiten bei Afag zwischen 1987 und 1990. Auch später kreuzten sich unsere Wege immer wieder, denn Afag prägte uns beide. Beide blieben wir der Montageautomation treu bis zur Pensionierung. Nun bleibt dir Zeit für deine Hobbys. Geniesse es, und vielleicht trifft man sich ja wieder mal auf einer Zug-Nostalgiefahrt.
