A holistic review of direct and coherent LiDAR technologies.
With ADAS and automated driving applications on the rise, LiDAR has become a hot topic in the sensor world. Is direct-detection (or time-of-flight) or coherent (Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave, for example) photon detection best? In our newest whitepaper by P-O (Pier-Olivier) Hamel, Director of Marketing at indie, and in conjunction with Harvey Weinberg, Director, Sensor Technologies at Microtech Ventures, we present a comprehensive and technical review of the pros and cons of #FMCW and #coherentLiDAR. Download the paper today and join the conversation! https://bit.ly/45Kw4N5 #Autotech #indieSemi #sensortechnology #ADAS #automateddriving

📶 The Crucial Role of Antennas in GNSS Applications In the realm of Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS), the significance of antenna selection cannot be overstated. Whether it's pinpointing locations accurately or ensuring seamless navigation, the choice of antenna plays a pivotal role in determining the success of GNSS applications. Antennas serve as the interface between GNSS receivers and satellite signals. Their design, orientation, and quality directly impact the reception and processing of signals, ultimately influencing the accuracy and reliability of the navigation solution. The right selection of a high-quality antenna can significantly enhance the performance of GNSS applications. Furthermore, multipath interference, caused by signal reflections from nearby objects, can degrade the accuracy of GNSS measurements. Antennas with advanced signal processing techniques, such as anti-jamming and anti-spoofing capabilities, can mitigate the effects of multipath interference and improve the robustness of the navigation solution. In GNSS applications where precision is paramount, such as autonomous vehicles, precision agriculture, and surveying, the importance of selecting the right antenna cannot be overstated. Even minor improvements in signal reception and processing can have a significant impact on the overall performance and reliability of these systems. In conclusion, the selection of the right antenna is critical in GNSS applications, as it directly influences the accuracy, reliability, and robustness of the navigation solution. Investing in high-quality antennas with advanced features can lead to improved performance and enhanced user experience in a wide range of GNSS applications. #dualfrequency #telit #antenna #L1L5 #highaccuracy
