Everybody knows everybody!” This week we sat down with Michael Schuh, an exceptional Final Assembly Lead Mechanic at our Landing Gear Shop in Rio Rancho. He spoke to us about his journey as a mechanic and how the AerSale team truly feels like a family. What do you do at AerSale? I am a Final Assembly Lead Mechanic at AerSale Landing Gear. I manage the final build-up of all landing gear sets. What is your favorite part of working at AerSale? My favorite part is definitely my co-workers. We all work hard and share a lot of laughs while getting the job done. How would you describe the culture at AerSale? The culture at AerSale is really great. We have about 50 employees at our location, and everybody knows everybody. The culture here is similar to a family-owned business except none of us are related! How did you end up at AerSale and what was your journey like to get here? My original goal was to become an engineer for a vehicle manufacturer. After receiving my degree, I did some soul-searching and decided that I would be much happier in a role that involved more hands-on work. I put my theory to the test when I stumbled upon an open position for the role of Final Assembly Mechanic at AerSale. It turned out my theory was right! This week we sat down with Anabel Novas, our amazing Buyer Supervisor at AerSale Component Solutions in Miami, FL. We asked her four questions about her career at AerSale and what advice she would give to someone joining the industry. What do you do at AerSale? As a Buyer Supervisor, I am responsible for the sourcing and procurement of the best quality and cost-effective supplies and services required to maintain, repair, and/or overhaul aircraft components. What is your favorite part of working at AerSale? Learning never stops! Working at AerSale is never boring. There is always room to learn something new every day (a new airplane, a new CMM, a new product, a new manufacturer, or a new member of the team). How would you describe the culture at AerSale? Even though AerSale has a very competitive atmosphere that improves the individual innovation, productivity, and creativity, everyone understands that working as a team is the actual key for the success of the company. Every team member is equally important. What tips or advice would you give someone starting a new job? Be confident in your abilities. Get to know your colleagues and give them the opportunity to know you too. They will share with you not only their knowledge but their passion for the job.
