Shifting the focus to to maximize the greatest V6 plant mass is key for us today. You know in the past we use two by two to help get the plants off to a better start, but we really haven't quantified what is the overall objective and today you know we do have a new tool that looks at what is the contribution that we get from our end. Environment. How much more nitrogen do we need by environment to shift the focus to? Raising optimum TV 6 plant mass across every acre and now being able to showcase that and the ability to is putting that program together for you and working one-on-one to see what we can do with our starter program to enhance it to again get that biggest V6 plant mass. The dynamics of soil moisture balance and overall environment as it pertains to nitrogen and sulfur uptake is is key in our area you know a lot of times. We're trying to canopy as quick as we can on those transitional acres knowing that if we can canopy we're going to have the ability to shape the road. We have less evapo transpiration. So it's key on those acres to make sure we get nitrogen and sulfur into the plant at the right rate early to maximize our capabilities to do that and that balance of growth. Water uptake, water availability to get mass flow of that nitrogen and the sulfur is key when we have you know the moisture in those environments to do it. So with our capability using nitrogen, you know variable rate 2 by two to do that and we're just enhancing that growth and making that happen at a much quicker rate. The importance of building the factory early really sets the stage for us as we're trying to optimize grain fill at the end of the year. So if if you think through key checkpoints, V6 gives us the overall ability to canopy building that biggest B6 plant mass then allows us to continue to optimize growth and maximize the amount of sucrose we have at R1 or at tassel then to use all of that carbohydrate for grain fill. So here in Indiana being able to start off. Right out of the gate, with success at V6, always then can translate to have the maximum opportunity for that carbohydrate to be used, or the sucrose for the biggest grain fill or the optimized grain fill the best we can.To view or add a comment, sign in
