DEADLINES For retailers/ retail businesses on Al Reem Island, the deadline to convert their business licences is by 30th March 2024. All other commercial companies have until 31st December 2024 to convert their licence or move from Al Reem Island. ADGM has announced a groundbreaking revision in commercial license fees, offering substantial support to Al Reem Island businesses transitioning to ADGM. Starting January 1, 2025, non-financial and retail businesses will benefit from over 50% fee reductions! The Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) has come up with a pathbreaking announcement of significant revision in the commercial license fees, aiding the Al Reem Island businesses undergoing transition to ADGM. The non-financial and retail businesses can enjoy a 50% or more reduction from 1st January 2025. The initial USD 10,000 fees are cut down to USD 5,000 and the annual license renewal amount is dropped to USD 5,000 from the current USD 8,000. Businesses will be required to convert their Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) Mainland Licence to an ADGM Licence in Al Reem Island. This change affects all new and existing businesses in Al Reem Island that wish to remain located here. Retail businesses will need to convert their licence by 30 March 2024 and all other businesses will have until 31 December 2024 to convert their ADDED Mainland Licence into ADGM Licence.
