🎗️ April is Head and Neck Cancer Awareness Month! 🎗️  Let's shine a light on a cause close to many hearts. As we recognize this month, it's crucial to spread awareness about the prevention and timely detection, and treatment of head and neck cancers. Over 70,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with Head & Neck cancers each year.  These can affect various areas, including the oral cavity (mouth), pharynx (throat), larynx (voice box), nasal cavity, sinuses, and salivary glands. Globally, it is the 7th most common cancer with an estimated 890,000 new cases (roughly 4.5% of all cancer diagnoses around the world) in 2020.  Adela is in the forefront of advancing methylation-based tests to help guide treatment decisions for these types of cancers.
