Washington State, the western-most state in the Pacific Northwest region of America, is by far the country’s largest producer of apples. In fact, Washington’s 175,000 acres of orchards produce over half the apples consumed in the United States. 🍎 Thank you to our colleague Melinda C. McCann ADAMA US for sharing this eye-catching image of #apple orchards from field tours in Washington state. #PhotoFriday 📷

Chicago, United States, #illinois, In addition to owning candy stores, Charles Cretors also founded C. Cretors and Company in Chicago. He created a brand-new popcorn machine that could pop #popcorn consistently in its own seasoning; he brought it to the Columbian Exposition in Chicago, where it was an immediate hit and broke the record for the World's First Mobile Popcorn Machine. According to a report by Scientific American, this machine was created with the intention of being moved to any place where its #operator could potentially make a profit. The device, which is robust and lightweight at only 400 or 500 pounds, can be easily pulled by a boy or a small pony to any park, fair, political gathering, etc., as well as to numerous other locations where #productive work could be done for a few days." The device, which is robust and lightweight at only 400 or 500 pounds, can be easily pulled by a boy or a small pony to any park, fair, political gathering, etc., as well as to numerous other locations where #productivework could be done for a few days." Charles Cretors, an Ohio candy store owner, was born. When he bought a peanut roaster in the hopes of serving freshly roasted nuts at his shop, he had no idea that he would be taking a major step toward defining American culture. Strangely enough, it all started when he lost patience with the machine's output. Feeling that it was insufficient, the irritated Cretors started experimenting with the peanut roster, designing a new device that would integrate durability, simplicity, utility, and elegance. From that one peanut roaster, Cretors created a completely new device that roasted peanuts and popped kernels in a matter of years. Since their invention more than 4,000 years ago, popcorn makers have undergone significant evolution. These days, these machines heat oil or air to heat large batches of corn kernels at once using electricity. Popcorn comes in convenient packages that you can use in the microwave or over an open flame. But the early machines don't resemble the ones we see today," the Street Directory notes. "The earliest known #popcornmachine was created by an ancient New Mexican civilization when they learned that a particular variety of corn would 'pop' when heated. To make the kernels pop, they would add them to finely ground sand that had been heated over a fire. www.tycoonstory.com #MobilePopcornMachine #worldrecord #PopcornInnovation #chicago #PopcornMachine #recordbreaking #ChicagoRecord #IllinoisInnovation #MobileSnacking #RecordSettingEvent #PopcornFestival Chicago Cubs Rithvik Kiran Shankar Chirag Somaya

Happy chips shine bright in the store. The store that works so, so hard to catch your eyes. Your eyes can’t help but look. “But look over there!” “Over there? Where?” Where you see the glasses with an iconic color. An iconic color and an iconic hinge. An iconic hinge for something so simple and necessary. Simple and necessary, like the foundation of a good meal. The foundation of a good meal, for some, involves a potato. Potato. Poe-ta-toe. Mashed potatoes. Fried crisps. Or happy chips.

The history of Chiclets really begins with chicle, the natural substance found in Chiclets, and the substance from which the candy gets its name. Chicle can best be described as a kind of sap. Chicle harvesters slice into the sapodilla tree, releasing the chicle within, and harvesting the chicle that is released. This then forms the base upon which the Chiclets gum is built. A Gummy Past Chiclets Back in the day, Chiclets only came in one flavor, good ol’ peppermint. Over the years, a variety of different flavors have been added. But no matter what flavor people were chewing on, this candy-coated gum remained a huge success. But who created these tiny gems, anyway? As it turns out, answering that question is a little more difficult. Chiclets have been manufactured by Cadbury Adams, a company originally founded by Thomas Adams, since their creation. In its first incarnation, Adams’ company was called the American Chicle Company, and was founded in 1899. It wasn’t until the early 1900’s that Chiclets were added to the list. Chiclet Pack Thomas Adams was the first to put Chicle into gum. However, legend goes that it was a candy salesman who actually came up with the idea for adding the candy coating that made Chiclets so popular then, and now. And since then, there’s been no turning back! So, pop open a box of Chiclets, sit back, and enjoy each and every pink, yellow, orange, purple, green, red, and white candy-coated gum inside. After all, it’s what gum-chewers have been doing for over a century!

Final iteration of my local raw honey brand. During this journey, I discovered that Texas has one native chili pepper. I decided to use it as the heat source for all the new spicy flavors. Here is what I found out: Capsicum annuum — also called bird pepper — occurs in South, Central and East Texas as either an annual or perennial. Bushes typically grow under fences or trees (thanks to birds) and can reach 3 to 5 feet high. They’re happy in shade or sun. Their small, white flowers bloom in the summer or early fall and produce pea-size green berries that turn bright red when ripe. This tiny chili pairs very well with honey as many Texans already know. The new iteration of the bottle labels is using a clear label film so that the golden honey color is visible. The brand logo has been cleaned up, but still keeps the signature knife-like protrusion on the 'K' in Killerbee. The next flavors will lean into the Texas spicy/sweet theme: 1. Texas Heat 2. Jalapeno Honey 3. Smoked Chipotle 4. Red Hot Cinnamon The original raw will be packaged in our glass moonshine bottles, capped on black wax and stamped with our Bee icon. This gift-worthy presentation will be renamed to Texas Gold. #packagedesign #labeldesign #branding #brandidentity #branddesigner Depending on locale, other common names for the fiery fruit include chile petín, chilipiquín and chile tepin. In 1997, the Texas Legislature declared the “chiltepin pepper” as the official state native pepper. (FYI: Chile pequíns are the state’s only native pepper.)

I was having a business talk with a friend who sells bananas, apples, and oranges. I gave her these pieces of advice 1. Get a disposable bowl and label it with your business name and contact details. 2. Select fresh bananas, apples, and oranges (she currently sells at Ghc10 and Ghc5) and pack them neatly in the bowl. 3. Visit corporate offices and sell it to them -- before you start selling, give them some for free to taste and leave your contact details with them (It's on the label but still, give it to them) 4. Take well edited images and videos of the package and run ads with it on your Facebook page. Create content around the benefits of these fruits daily on the page to increase brand visibility. 5. Test ADS in multiple formats and keep the one working well for at 3 months before you adjust it.
