We, and the world, are experiencing a profound loss with the news of Nick Imudia’s passing. He was the CEO of d.light and a leader driven by a deep sense of purpose and impact. In a recent conversation with our CEO, Jacqueline Novogratz, he shared his story of joining d.light because of his desire to lead a team that was working hard to make the world a better place for everyone. Nick played a pivotal role in leading d.light through challenging periods, and his passion and dedication were evident to all who knew and worked with him. He will be greatly missed. Our thoughts are with his family and the entire d.light team during this difficult time. Nick’s legacy of purpose-driven leadership will continue to inspire us all.

Today was a good day. The picture below was taken this afternoon during a long overdue day of fellowship with my direct leaders (and Chris Barron, RACR) and the three incredible leaders standing beside me in this photo are my dream team. My squad. My secret weapons. Rayshawn Marshman, RACR is a powerhouse when it comes to team engagement. There is no other leader that I have known to engage their team the way that Rayshawn engages his. It is admirable and something I love to watch. Josh Huerth, you are the peacemaker, the bridge builder, and our "always look on the bright side" warrior. We wouldn't be where we are today without your ability to navigate change and facilitate transition. Ryan Khan, you are my newest direct leader and yet, you hold us accountable, you keep us on our toes, and you always ensure we are doing the right thing. You are invaluable to this team, and I know I speak for all of us when I share how grateful we are to have you. Trey Bales, not in this picture, is our leader who oversees our Augusta team. Trey and his team have had to pivot and shift more times than I can count and have been asked to navigate significant change in the past year. Even with all of the changes, Trey has demonstrated grace and commitment in his response to the transition and consistently provides an incredible amount of support for his team in the process. You rock, Trey. Wellstar and our team are lucky to have you. We've been through so much together over the past few years – navigating challenges, adapting to changes, and celebrating successes. Through it all, we have leaned on each other, good days and bad, and I cannot think of anyone else that I would want to be with me, at the helm of this wild journey that is #talentacquisition. They are not perfect, and I surely am not perfect; but together we push each other to be better, we lift each other up when the load gets a bit too heavy, and we are unwavering. Thank you to each of you for your leadership. You and your teams are the why behind my #joy at Wellstar, and I cannot wait to celebrate all of the #bold playbook changes we have planned in the year to come. WE ARE WELLSTAR TA! #leadership #boldchangemakers #innovation #committmenttoexcellence #talentacquisition #wellstar #unwavering #joy

Guiding CEOs in Strategic Crisis/ Risk Management and Leadership Development so they can Build Profitable, Sustainable Companies
Below is a picture of 2 General’s. Eisenhower and Patton. Two very different styles of #leadership. A partnership was forged with respect on how each could assist in a battle plan. There is a story about interaction between these two during WW2, when Patton was marching his troops and they were pushing into Germany. Eisenhower communicates to Patton to not take the city of Trier because the planning and strategy team felt like it would take four divisions to take Trier successfully Patton’s response was Golden! He said city of Trier taken with two divisions. What do you want me to do give it back? There are different types of leaders for different situations. This story is an example of that. As a leader, you need to know your strengths and weaknesses, and play to those. I can tell you, I would’ve never placed Eisenhower in the theater where Patton was, and I Would Never Place Patton administratively behind the scenes. #knowyourstrengths #twoheadsarebetterthanone #findapartneryoucantrust

Experienced L&D Specialist | Leadership Challenge Facilitator & LPI Coach | Certified Training Generalist | Culture Enthusiast
This post illustrates why I resonate so much with facilitating the Leadership Challenge programs. It is such a human and heart centered approach to leadership. They also constantly update their content and books based upon feedback from leaders, folks who fill out the Leadership Performance Inventory (LPI), and ongoing research into what makes leaders effective.
One of the things I love about The Leadership Challenge®, A Wiley Brand is how authors Jim Kouzes and Barry Posner, Ph.D. continuously learn from the leaders they work with. Jim once asked Major General John Stanford (a U.S. Army officer who later became superintendent of the Seattle public schools) what advice he would give to people on how to improve their leadership skills. His response was, "The secret to success is to stay in love". Jim has further elaborated on that notion by saying, "That’s the essence. You have to stay in love with what you do, with the people you lead, and with the purpose you’re serving. When you’re in love with all those things, you can get extraordinary things done on a daily basis.” So, this Valentine's Day, remember to appreciate what you love about your work! I consider myself very fortunate to have a long list ❤️
