Recently Matthew McCann and I implemented ChatGPT into an enrichment process to gather data about the leads coming into our ActiveCampaign CRM. Here is a quick snapshot of how we did it. 1. Fire a webhook sent to Zapier when a new contact is created in ActiveCampaign & when a new deal is created. 2. Immediately we use a vlookup on a g-sheet to cut out any free domains. There is no need for those. 3. Parse out the email domain. 4. Use ChatGPT to review the website, write a summary of the business, and bullet point the services the business provides. 5. Send the data back into ActiveCampaign for our teams using the CRM. Our initial estimates are that conservatively this will save the team 2-3 minutes of research for new deals and provide them a wealth of data that can be used in their outreach. Although only a couple of days old, the feedback has been positive. Another thing which we've done is already created a feedback loop for the teams using this. It's a fun idea, but unless the actual users are gaining value it's a mute point. Direct feedback (survey) from direct users is the only way we will be able to improve.
