‘The scale of vacancies across the NHS is having a clearly detrimental impact on patient care and outcomes, with the post-COVID waiting list now having hit a record 7.6 million and 400,000 patients having waited over 24 hours for care in A&E departments in 2022.’ Read our analysis of the Long Term Workforce Plan, and short- and medium-term solutions to the NHS staffing crisis here. https://lnkd.in/exZDFUf9 #Remedium #NHSWorkforce #NHSCrisis #NHSRecruitment #NHSStaffingCrisis

NHS England and Department of Health caps and restrictions on Locum Agency use can have unintended consequences including driving up costs to the taxpayer. There are better ways to manage Locum Agency Spend. The impact of the New Staffing Policy in the NHS on flexible resourcing options will need to be carefully considered by end users. We are currently working with our partners to assess the impact of these changes and how to navigate them to ensure patient care and outcomes are optimised and costs are controlled. https://lnkd.in/ekF6rsFB

Practical support when most required
NHS England has reported a significant surge in GP appointments, with millions more people receiving care compared to pre-pandemic levels. (Source: https://lnkd.in/eq_GiGTd) Recent NHS data reveals that November 2023 marked the busiest on record for GP teams, with over 31.4 million appointments delivered. As seasonal illnesses persist, we foresee ongoing challenges in 2024, placing additional strain on the healthcare workforce due to increased sickness and appointments. Leveraging our extensive experience in the healthcare sector, our team is here to provide qualified professionals to fill the gaps for these essential roles. https://lnkd.in/gTyk3xdU #NHSEngland #HealthcareStaffing #WorkforceManagament

Working for a start-up is painful... Today, NHS wait times have broken records, yet again, and not in a good way! They interviewed a staff member in a northern hospital who said they need a way to be able to learn more about the patient prior to them attending A&E; how beneficial this would be, but it seems impossible! All I could do was shout at the TV - WE ARE HERE!!! THIS IS US! WE CAN HELP! But that's the pain of a start-up, isn't it. We know at QHERE that the solution could support the NHS on so many levels; by significantly reducing their wait times (the main pain point) as well as supporting better staff utilisation and workforce management (the second pain point). We are the solution. Right here, in plain sight. And we know it. But it's all about getting seen, getting heard and getting understood. And we won't give up. No chance. There WILL be a day when QHERE is widely used across the NHS. I'll bet on that! #nhs #nhsworkforce #nhslongtermplan

The uphill battle to reduce #NHS waiting lists is getting tougher. New #data suggests that where #elective activity has been growing, it is largely carried out by non-NHS providers with an increase of around 30% on pre-covid levels. But while independent sector providers are great at treating #patients, they often find the NHS’s #reporting requirements challenging because they lack the IT infrastructure of big NHS #hospitals. We at Insource Ltd can help. We provide automated data management and reporting systems right across the #health economy, so that even the smallest independent sector providers can report like the NHS. Reciprocal Billing and Locum Tenens !!! Reciprocal billing and locum tenens are two different arrangements in healthcare that involve the provision of medical services by one healthcare provider for another. They are used to cover temporary absences, ensure continuity of care, and manage staffing shortages. #medicalbilling #medicalcoding #RCM

"Why communities benefit from locum tenens providers: Increased Access to Healthcare: One of the biggest benefits of hiring locum tenens providers in your community is having increased access to care and higher availability for the specialist you need. Locum providers fill coverage gaps for facilities and are ready to provide care almost immediately. Shorter Wait Times: One of the most significant issues across the medical industry is the time it takes for patients to receive the care they need. Providers working locum tenens are readily available to see patients when they arrive in your community. Everyone deserves to meet with a provider promptly. Relief for Permanent Staff: Permanent providers take a severe toll when staffing and coverage issues occur in your community. Being able to quickly address the staffing issue through hiring locum tenens providers alleviates the burden and gives permanent staff some breathing room. That's the locums difference."
