We’re taking the next step toward a more sustainable future 🌎. Today, we have signed a Letter of Intent with our partner, SWANCOR HOLDING CO., LTD. Starting in 2026, the resin supplied from Swancor to Siemens Gamesa will be all recyclable. 🤝 The collaboration strengthens our #RecyclableBlade production capacity and shows we can enhance sustainability through our partnerships. The RecyclableBlade, launched in 2021, is a game-changer and is key to our #CircularEconomy vision🚀. It's designed so that up to 95% of the blade's raw materials can be separated and reused. Our RecyclableBlades and ongoing partnerships put us on track to meet our ambitious goal of making fully recyclable turbines by 2040. Together, we're not just making wind energy more sustainable, we're driving #GreenInnovation forward for a brighter, cleaner future. 💚🌍🍃. #EnergyTransition #WindEnergy

🌍 Transforming Challenges into Opportunities at Rotger Research Foundation! 🌍 We're excited to announce the development of our Waste-to-Energy program, a sustainable initiative designed to address two of the world's most pressing issues: waste management and renewable energy generation. Our Waste-to-Energy program is not just about converting waste materials into electricity, heat, or fuel; it's about reimagining our relationship with waste, seeing it as a resource rather than a burden. This innovative approach not only reduces the amount of waste in landfills but also provides a cleaner, renewable source of energy, contributing to a more sustainable and energy-secure future. 🔄 Circular #Economy in Action: Our program is a cornerstone in the development of a circular economy, where waste is minimized, and products are reused and recycled to their fullest extent. By converting waste into energy, we're closing the loop, turning the end-of-life products into new beginnings. 🌱 #Environmental Impact: The Waste-to-Energy program significantly reduces greenhouse gas emissions compared to traditional waste disposal methods and fossil fuel energy production. It's a win-win for the planet and our communities, paving the way for a greener, more sustainable future. At Rotger Research Foundation, we believe in the power of innovation to solve complex environmental challenges. Our Waste-to-Energy program is a testament to our commitment to creating #sustainable solutions that benefit both the planet and its people. Join us as we turn waste into wonder and power the future sustainably. Together, we can create a cleaner, greener world for generations to come. https://lnkd.in/e-fh6aE8 #RotgerResearchFoundation #WasteToEnergy #SustainableSolutions #RenewableEnergy #CircularEconomy #InnovationForThePlanet

22 April is Earth Day. This year’s global theme is ‘Planet vs. Plastics’. It involves a commitment to end the use of plastics for the sake of human and planetary health. The goal is to achieve a 60% reduction in the production of all plastics by 2040. In Solar, we continue to strive to reduce the amount of packaging material used in our warehouses. We test new types, sizes and material and have a special focus on reducing the use of plastics. As an example, last year our Polish operation saved 12.9 tons of plastics from various initiatives. And in our Swedish operation, we have saved 600 kg plastic per year. Read more about our commitments to long-term environmental changes here: https://lnkd.in/dnRz97Xb

🌿 Join us on our journey towards sustainability! Do you know about the key message of the European Green Deal? 🌍 The EU aims to be climate-neutral by 2050. For sure, the economy and energy-intensive industries have a special role to play in environmental protection and sustainability. ♻️ Therefore for R.STAHL, it's indisputable that companies with sustainable business practices will benefit on all levels in future. This is why these aspects have been officially adopted into our EXcelerate strategy. And that's not all – since 2023, we have Olvido Marcos del Río on board, our sustainability manager. She truly has a mammoth task, as she is tasked with monitoring developments in this wide-ranging topic, and coordinating and linking activities within the group. 🌱 We asked her three questions that show us what is currently happening at R. STAHL: ❓ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐨 𝐟𝐚𝐫? The priority is to gather data, analyze the current situation at R.STAHL and create transparency. In conjunction with internal and external stakeholders – managers and specialists, suppliers, customers, investors, etc. – four relevant courses of action have been defined: 1. Sustainable product development and material procurement 2. R.STAHL solutions for sustainable customer industries 3. Well-being of staff 4. Corporate culture of integrity ❓ 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐑. 𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐇𝐋? We're working towards restructuring processes and making resources available so that sustainability at R.STAHL can be measured. For example, we are carrying out a complete review of the taxonomy alignment of our LED light fittings. Our sustainability reporting according to the CSR Directive is in the development stage. Overall, a data-backed basis is currently being developed for further decision-making processes and improvements. 📊 ❓ 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚 𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲? Of course the reporting obligations are a good opportunity for R. STAHL to demonstrate that it is relevant to the new energy economy and is playing a role in the energy revolution in Europe. In the renewable energy, hydrogen, LNG and biomass sectors, as well as in the pharmaceutical and food industries, products from R.STAHL can be used one-to-one. Let's make a difference together! 🤝 #Sustainability #GreenDeal #ClimateNeutral2050 #RenewableEnergy #CarbonFootprint

Good news about our sustainability journey! We are converting the melting process in our Hällekis insulation plant in Sweden from coke-fired furnaces to electric melting, estimated to reduce the plant’s scope 1 and 2 emissions by approximately 80%. The project marks a big step forward in serving our customers across the Nordics with insulation that offers a low carbon footprint. The investment aligns with Owens Corning's science-based goal to reduce absolute scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent by 2030. “As a market-leading actor in our sector we recognize the impact of investments into our operations, and we are excited for this step towards reducing carbon emissions. Replacing our coke-fired furnaces to electric melting from renewable electricity will have a significant impact towards our sustainability goals and will also strengthen our position even further to help meet our customers’ expectations on the European market”, says Beatrice Hallén, Senior Sustainability Leader Insulation Business Europe at Owens Corning.
