At the end of 2023, Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD) held a State of the Science of Pediatric Palliative Care Conference which focused on supporting and improving care for the estimated 74,000 children are living with serious illness in the United States. One of the most pressing issues discussed was supporting parents, families, and caregivers of these children. Empowering autonomy for these people is paramount and Thanacare can help do that.
