About a week ago, I made my last post on consolidation in healthcare:

Regardless of the potential impacts, it's crucial for consolidated healthcare companies to prioritize trustworthiness. Here are some ways they can achieve this:
* Clearly communicating costs and billing practices to patients fosters trust and helps them make informed decisions about their care.
* Focusing on individual patient needs and preferences, ensuring their voices are heard, and involving them in decision-making processes.
* Actively engaging with the communities they serve, addressing local health concerns, and collaborating with community organizations to improve overall health outcomes.
* Adhering to high ethical standards, avoiding exploitative practices, and prioritizing patient well-being over profit maximization.
By prioritizing transparency, patient -centered care, and ethical practices, companies can build trust and ensure that they serve the best interests of the communities they operate in.
Recently, Elevance has been aggressively pursuing acquisitions such as Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana. It is noteworthy that Elevance is not on a recently produced list of the most trustworthy companies:

Maybe Elevance should not be involved in the healthcare consolidation process....
